The Subaru Forester thread

Me and a friend are having a little dispute when it comes to foresters. I've been looking around at cars for a while, and i've started to realize that the most realistic for me, is probably a forester. He seems to think it is a "dyke car", and no matter what, does not look good. I however think that a Forester XT done right, can look fucking ill. Here is my proof.

Good job, you've slammed a car that has no business being slammed. It's called a forester because it's meant to drive through a forest. GTFO.
 
In my local vdubb scene, slammed = lowered. I don't know what you Subaru kids think it means. Vernacular disputes aside, why did you lower an offroad car? It defeats the purpose of the car.

subarus are the most common car driven by lesbians...true fact no joke

but that doesnt mean that they dont make a model thats sick as fuck

i love my subi so much...awesome car....for anything
 
if you dont have a solid chunk of change forester is a pretty sick car. Got enough room for most things you need for it. AWD definatly a plus for winter driving. Decent power. I think they look like a half decent car. Definantly a lot worse out there.

About the thread, though, a friend has a forester xt. It's rather nice, certainly powerful, reliable, and spacious enough, though in the spec he got you wouldn't want to take a long trip in it. I never liked how they looked, but if thats what you want, go for it.
 
i got my 04 wrx hatchback for $9500 with 62k miles. such a good deal for that car and is great. black on black looks dope to.
this car is dope to though, really like the blue on black
 
that's the kind of people a subaru forester is built for. It will get you from point A to point B. It is not amazingly fun to drive, it's not amazing in the snow or offroad it has little power and it doesn't look cool.

I liked mine a lot though, it got me to the hill, I spend many nights sleeping in the back, and it had a sweet roof box for 10+ pairs of skis or 3 surfboards.

also definitely a lesbian car. Get a 5 speed.
 
Never understood the hate. Always seems to come from the street racing bro douches.

I really like the one my family owns, but I wish the drivetrains were more durable. We are on our second or third transmission and our third rear differential. This is an 05 that was bought new and never abused.
 
I'm no racing bro douche ^^ but a forester is a cool car.. For your sister. Why not an outback? Wagon with plenty of room awd and they don't have that top heavy feel of foresters they drive wayyyy better.
 
I fucking hate it when people aren't Car's are used to get from point A to point B type people.

if you arent dont get a forester they are ugly as fuck and for dykes

personally i would get a forester because it would get me from point a to point b efficiently in various terrain and i would enjoy that

also if you are planning on slamming your forester you better just slam your face in with a 2x4 instead because then you have a car that looks like shit and cant do what its meant to
 
I just don't understand it.

You buy an AWD car...and then you make it not drivable in bad conditions.
 
for everyone in the thread, I do NOT plan on slamming a Forester.. maybe get some new springs that would drop it less than inch to an inch, but never slam it.
 
fuck foresters.Burn oil like crazy, at least the old ones can.Im going through a quart every tank of gas.
If you want the #1 lesbian car and wanna spend a lot of gas, go for it.

 
Foresters can look sick done right. I met a guy at my last local subaru meet that did a full STI swap in his and is was sick.

If your looking at an XT I would consider getting a WRX first. If your looking for space then get a WRX wagon. You need to do a shit load more to XT's before they start to look good versus a WRX, which looks great stock. An XT will also be a lot harder to find, and gets worse gas mileage since it has a 2.5l instead of a 2.0l.

Bottom line, only get the XT if you absolutely need the extra space compared to a WRX wagon.
 
If you want something a less dykey than a forester and less costly than a wrx, get an outback. I got one a few months ago and I love it.
 
Slammed = lowered to everybody I know.
And no I wasn't, but my best friend drives a dark green jetta. He doesn't ski though.
 
BASICALLY all I'm trying to say is that lowering a forester serves no purpose, because you're not going to use it to its full potential. Also, VW hate doesn't matter to me lolol, I don't even drive one. I drive a truck, my best friend drives a VW and I'm just kind of a photographer for him and his "crew."
