fuckinh mobile but they know that people will pay those prices and if they wont theres someone who will so they raise their prices accordingly when the generation below us goes to college there will be a higher acceptance rate and lower prices because their generation is significantly smaller
 
Supply and demand? or exploitation of the ideal that to be considered "middle class" today you have to go to college. Kudos to them for convincing us that we need to first spend 150,000+ to even be considered for a respectable job. as it stands it will only get worse. To standout in the past you could of graduated highschool, then it was college, and now its graduate degree's; but what's next? The bubble keeps growing.

With the rates of increase in tuition we are seeing today, I can not fathom how I will be able to put my kids through tomorrow.
 
first of all it would be exploitation of the lower class before middle class and second of all you do need to go to college in order to compete in the job market. Read my past two posts and it'll explain supply and demand to you, and it'll also explain why (as long as the trend continues) college will be cheaper for our children. but in case you're lazy

Sparknotes: our generation (generation Y) is the largest influx of children EVER so the colleges raise prices because they can and they know that someone will pay them, the generation below us (all of the kids in kindergarten now) has less people than our generation has so the demand for college will decrease because of lack of people
 
I can't believe how americans can be jelly... seriously it's not our problem if you guys are stupid enough to pay 40k a year for college, IT'S YOURS
