My first big premiere was quite the success :D

Throwing a premiere is an interesting process to say the least. Were you FREAKING out as people were walking in? I always worry NO ONE is going to show up, even to sure thing venues like UVM.

For the past month or so, I just haven't been getting bad hangovers. Last night it continued, 3 forties of Mickeys, wake up at 10 am the next morning feeling fine. I love it!
 
I'm gonna have to drive my next vehicle up there to get another bumpersticker. Had the "This car visited the magic hat brewery" on the truck for a total of about 2 weeks.
 
Fuckkk, likely going to ski some this afternoon.

Also, went on a tour of Burton corp and manufacturing today up in Burlington. Quite the operation they have going. Definitely a success story of a company from nothing , and I certainly gained some respect for the company as well.

I got 50% off goods at the store too, so I got a pair of AK Tech gloves for $27.

ALSO, got paid mileage to drive up there. Over 200 miles total, at 50 cents per mile. I went through about $30 of gas. I'll have made money on today, and got a nice pair of gloves out of it.

And yeah, I was worried at first when planning this thing about how many people were going to come out to it. I was like I uno if this is a good idea. So I tied in a pubcrawl with the Ski and Snowboard Club at my university.

We ended up selling 130 tickets for it in 2 days. And we sold probably another 100+ for just the premiere. I was soo stoked after selling those tickets days in advance. We probably had close to 300 people at this thing.

Having redbull fully onside always makes it easier.. Free red bull and super cheap Jager bombs. As well as beer sponsors.

Its premiere time again tonight with Voleurz boys. Gonna be a sick night! STOKED! And then I have the all ages again with them tomorrow. Dope.

The haunted hayride I went on was absolutely amazing. The hayride itself was the best. We got "the best seats", right on the back of the trailer with our feet hanging off. From here, the experience was out of this world. The headless horsemen was right on our tail when he came out. I literally felt the horse breath on my face he was that close. The guys with chainsaws were the highlight...they came out of nowhere & I literally scrambled backwards as they hacked at our legs screaming and swinging at us, it was so real. The sound, the vibration. Never have I ever 'feared for myself' than at this point. Also a very large creepy tree creature came out, so close that he layed all of his branchy extremities on us as we fell backwards to escape. Soooo many good points, and I had the crap scared out of me.

Another highlight was through the corn maze, where an old scarecrow came out and followed us...I was the last in line, as he grabbed and "kidnapped" me where he wouldn't let me catch up to the crew - watching them disappear into the distance without knowing was creepy! Hahaha, it was intense. A couple times I was knocked on my ass from being jumped at. Seriously, I loved every minute.
 
Just got back from a 5 day real estate conference/bender in toronto. Good food, thousands of dollars in booze, only 20 hours of sleep, private jets, it was a good time. Time for bed though.
 
I'm with you Adam. That's a powerful piece. I could care less what many on the right will say about this film tomorrow. It was put together well and an absolute boost to people that need it.
To those that will say, "I've seen a thousand like him before," you're obviously not affected by what's going on today or completely blinded by your party affiliation. I can honestly claim that while I've followed Obama's campaign with interest, I wasn't sure I was going to vote for him. I didn't vote for him in the NY primary.
Today I can say with confidence that Tuesday, I'll be voting for Barack Obama.
The word hope gets tossed around a lot these days but lets not lose sight of what it really means: Hope is a belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances in one's life. Hope is the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best.
Is that not the American way?
 
I know McCain responded to it on Tuesday by saying something to extent of "when I become President, I wont push back the World Series for an Infomercial..". Either way he was wrong, WS games have started at 8:30. McCain and his ignorant incompetent followers can suck my left nut.
 


Answered my own question. The guy is trying to tread water in a whirlpool.

Obama makes a 30 minute spot that outlines everything in his plan, and Mccain can only muster up 30 seconds of falsities?
 
McCain may have some good ideas but Obama is mopping the floor with McCain when it comes to connecting to the people.

McCain just can't connect...even Bush managed to connect to people...
 
Nah. The game starts around 8:30. They killed the pre-game for Obama's infomercial. That was it.
 
and in my opinion, suspending that game the other night was a fuckin joke. talk about killing baseball.
 
Baseball has much bigger money related problems then Obama and his commercial.

I think the idea was brilliant...fuck baseball, politics are much more important.

Sorry to baseball lovers! I just cannot stand watching it to the least. I'd rather watch golf because at least golf has pretty backdrops alongside it's lack of action.
 
Thank god. I'm pretty sure i'd be burned at the stake down there as a 'socialist/liberal witch'. Gotta love all that freedom :P
 
So all sorts of rumors are circulating right now up here at Killington.

No official word has come out, so it is all speculation...

It is a fact though that Killington has been running their snowmakers for over 24 hours straight now and will continue blowing up high straight through tomorrow morning.

Also, of particular importance, is that they are running a bunch of snowguns even at the k-1 base.

Speculation is at a possible opening this weekend. There is nothing that confirms this, but it seems odd for them to be blasting away at the base right now if they weren't going for it.
 
Reason is getting fucking BLASTED.

I'm trying to stay level-headed and avoid being optimistic, but why the fuck would they be blowing at the k-1 base if they weren't trying to open?
 
Yup they're trying to open all right. Thats how killy works. Blast on Reason, get the jibs set up, and then the greens down to the base. Are they blowing on Bunny Buster or whatever that trail is called? If you're looking at k1, its the right
