The Stoked Thread

I FINALLY sold my fucking car! Money for me! I can pay credit card bills and buy my season pass.

As a bonus, the guy is a skier (5 pairs of skis, just like me! lol) and he has a sled. A nice one. He wants to try big rockered skis (biggest he has are original Big Daddies) and we are going to work out a demo skis/go sled skiing program. Stoked!

Oh, and I was at the Canucks-Flames game tonight, and we fucking spanked them. 6-0. Kipper looked like shit. It was a good day!

Scored free shots and beers last night when the bartender found out we both use to date the same psycho. Perfect cap to the Turbo premiere.

Hitching post stash feature was delivered to the Green Mountain College Resort Management lodge on the Killington Access Road this morning.

It was donated by Burton, and is about 25 feet long and weighs about 1,000 pounds. It's all setup. Just waiting on the snow.

got an interview at the Venetian on Monday at 4! stoked! baahhhhhhhh!!!! so stoked!

in other news, beer is way cheap here compared to back in Michigan. no Bell's, but i'll survive.

NOT STOKED

..... so I just checked the tour website. It played tonight, an hour away. FML. Not Stoked.

RESUME STOKED THREAD

--------

.

15" of new snow at Bridger Bowl so far.

45" of new snow in the mountains an hour west of Bozeman.

I'm going skiing tomorrow!

Picked up a pair of 180 Verdicts for my buddy for $300 with 4frnt 1018 bindings.

If anyone wants bomber bindings, I have a pair of 4frnt 1018 bindings for sale. lol.

Also sold my Thugs. :( Sad to see them go, but I like money better at this point. I passed on a good deal so hopefully good karma for me in the future (you hear that ullr? I want POW all the time this season)

I may not be moving to Chicago in 3 months. Michael and Adam, leave that here please. I've got a lot more thinking to do, which a number of people (including Ed) do not know about

I'm also drinking a Long Trail Double Bag. At this point, and maybe this should be in the drunk thread, I feel it deserves it's own post

Just got back from Triple Threat.

#1. Stoked on meeting Rowen and Josh, and chilling with everyone else. Scott also put in a five minute appearance, then left. Which was stupid, because

#2. We showed the ON3Ps to a bunch of pros and industry people, as well as anyone who asked. A bunch of us were standing around in our hats with Rowen's Jeronimos and my Wrenegades answering questions. It would have been a good idea to have the owner there. Pep Fujas signed a Jmo, and we have pics of Sammy Carlson standing on them too.

#3. I finally met JD.

#4. Stoked on seeing all the family again, and pumped for this winter.

#5. I'm going skiing tomorrow!

I just bought a new surfboard and the forecast is saying we should get some decent surf first part of this week. So I'm hitting the beach in a little while and am gonna figure out this surfing thing. Stoked.

Triple threat had good movies. The beer tent was too crowded, so drinking until stupid was out of the question, but I did see many people I see too little of, and many I have never seen, which is always the benefit of the event from my perspective. Also On3p got a ton of really good exposure to local chillun and I didn't drop too much hard earned cash which is becoming scarce. Looking forward to more premieres.

stoked that i had such a great time at my cousin's wedding last night. :) Drew was an awesome date, even if one of my cousins leaned across the table and whispered, "Lindsay... are you robbin the craddle?" ahahahha... i replied simply with a nod. Will post pics later.

I'm sure I speak for Adam when I say, I love knowing more about you than Ed.

:-)

Good to hear. I'd be very happy to have you on the East Coast forever.

Stoked on Sunday football. That Falcons-Bears game was incredible. Pats on tonight, Giants on Monday night.

also stoked to be home for a few days. It's been nice being able to relax and get away from school, ski-job stuff, and run of the mill college life. Plus my mom is an amazing cook.

Also stoked on last night. I had probably one of the best days of my life just cruising on the lake with some good friends. Around 6:30 p.m. we went to a whiskey party, which now has my vote for one of the top 5 party ideas ever. Everyone brings what they feel will be a unique blend of whiskey to the party. I brought Jameson because I'm not creative. When I arrived, I soon made eye contact with a very large table packed with 20-25 different types of whiskey. Holy Kentucky Bourbon, was I blasted! My damage for the night was:

-making out with a random chick after I told her I worked in Boston as a financial consultant (she lives in Boston)
-getting a "Why didn't you talk to me/you're an asshole" text from an old flame to which I replied, "Because you're on the wrong program"
-ending up at a bar down the road from my parents house (I have absolutely no idea how this happened seeing as how the party was on the other side of the lake) and drinking with my friend and the owner until 5:30 a.m.
- getting picked up by my mom this morning who may win an award for the best, "Mike, give me a break/somethings never change" look

Life is good.

bumped into the right guy at the right place at the right time today...he was impressed with my dedication to my job and offered me a contract for my company. Just went from one occassionsl plane to 5 full time plus hangar maintenance... I can't believe this .. Keeping the fingers crossed for now

I'd call that an ok quiver.

I'm stoked that I got to go out skiing today! It was about 20" on top of grass and dirt, but I still had a lot of fun anyway. Oh yeah, my new AT setup is awesome, I think I have finally found something I am happy with in the Zealots.

cleaned my bong for the first time in a while! she's lookin sexy! used this stuff called Formula 420. it was my first time using any kind of cleaner as i've always used rubbing alcohol and salt, which has done the job in the past, but my ash catcher was getting uber clogged and the good ol' solution just wasn't cutting it. Stella looks brand-spankin-new and the ash catcher is about 95% clean- just a little resin still built up along the downstem inside. so i now have a perfectly-functioning 22in., 6mm straight tube with glass-on-glass connections, a diffused downstem, a bubbling ash catcher, and 8in. of ice. stoked! ...and stoned.

His Minions.

Stoked on skiing Rainier today. Lots of mashed potatoes, and good times were had. Pic soon. And I also saw Rowen and gf up there, which made my day better.

Seriously, I don't know how to put into words how happy i'd be if you didn't leave.

Even if you stay, the going away party's still on. I've spent far too much time arranging moonshine, homebrews, and microbrews to let it go to waste.

felt so good to get back on snow today, even if it was halfway raining for part of the day

definitely stoked on snow right now, c'mon winter!

The guns are staged at Killington. Just a matter of waiting for cold weather now...

Maybe we'll get a pre-season storm too.

No bills game - No care.

Glad that this past weekend was a bye. Gives Edwards some time to screw his head back on after being knocked to never-never land by the Cardinals.

I saw that. Excellent to see. Go Scott!

On another note, fall is by FAR the best season to Mountain Bike. I had an awesome ride today. The colors were awesome, and there is something about riding a trail covered with yellow and orange that is just straight up awesome. I'll be sure to grab my camera on Wednesday when I head out and I'll post some photos.

Check the Photo thread for pics of my Rainier trip yesterday.

Stoked on a sore shoulder incurred from doing handplants yesterday. It's a good sort of hurt.
