Whew, I don't feel so old sitting on NS now.

I'm only 22 now! I feel old when I'm skiing the park though.
 
I have the feeling I'm gonna be that creepy old dude in the park in his thirties. At least I look young though so I can get away with it. Shit I got carded at a concert last week even though I had a 21+ wristband on, that was kinda depressing.
 
Haha, I ski with mostly younger guys too. One of my good skiing buddies is a senior in HS, and the other are 19-20.
 
Back doctors are stupid and know absolutely nothing. ARGH. Actually, this one knows a lot, but I don't like what he has to say.

Anyway, FUCK THAT! I'm in Alaska. Time to go skiing now, bye!

So.... good news and bad news from the back doc:

My arthritis is getting worse (no shit) and I've got more fusion going on with my vertebrae, BUT my scoliosis is still getting slightly better. My lumbar curve was at 40 last December, and now it's down to 37, even when I couldn't wear my back brace for five months because of the accident in June. My thoracic curve is still the same, but oh well.

ANDDD SKIIIIIIING! Holy fuck... I love Alaska so much. Sooo much. Today was one of the best I've had in months. No photos from today because it was my first day of the season (didn't think I was going to get to ski at all because of the knee/back), and I honestly didn't give two shits about photos. However, I plan on riding many of the next eleven days, sooo I will have some soon! YAYY! Love snow!

I got some really weird looks last night when I was walking around in 3 degree Fahrenheit temps with basketball shorts and a down vest and T-shirt on, haha. It felt so nice, though.
 
Just found out I did really well on a final I was worried about and ended up getting a B- in a class I thought I might fail. Stoooooooooked.
 
Well your in there supporting a youngster at least. I'm just in there falling on stuff.

By the way papa I think I'm ruined after this summer in DE, never before in my life have I actually longed for the beach during the winter. Honeslty though last week I found myself extremely stoked for the upcoming summer and a 4x4 pass to CHSP, it's not even January and I'm thinking about warm weather already

majorly stoked that im booking my vacation to jay peak today!! fuck jea! jay here i come!!!

such a great deal too! $99pp/pn including lift, lodging in a 2bedroom slopeside condo, breakfast and dinner. the only thing that could possibly make this any better is that jay gets dumped on while im there. i am beyond stoked right now!!!! i needed this sooooooo badly ;)
 
hahaha im trying to get both schedules on lock right now and go from there. im thinking mid january.
 
I am stoked that another has found that area and fallen in love with it. I grew up there and know what it is. Enjoy, the whole 4x4 thing is a lifestyle you will always cherish.

BTW the ocean keeps the area warmer in the winter. Walk the beaches north early morning after a winter storm from the IR inlet for some awesome beachcombing ops.
 
I will look into Mont Verde tonight, I have a lonely planet guide and we will be traveling around quite a bit. I'm planning on trekking down to Panama for a little while too. Play the whole thing by ear. I'll be gone soon! When I get back, I chill in Toronto with friends for two days and then head to Switzerland for the ski season.

My youngest sister has bad scoliosis and she is having spinal surgery in March. It's tough shit!
 
so i spent my last night in canada in the hospital. they didnt want to let me on the plane. but anyways. drugs do wonders. I made it to london, buddy sitting next to em wanted to shoot me butoh well. now im just chillin int he air canada gold lounge. balllllllllin. just so you know. now i have like 12 hours until i leave for my next 12.5 hour flight to cape town. my sister is supposed to meet me but she missed her flight. haha. i guess the highway to the airport in montreal was closed last night or something. i have no idea where she is. toronto perhaps by now? or frankfurt maybe. or maybe she beat me to africa. anyways time to sleep.
 
My hill has a jump up!

It's not too pathetic either! It's like a 20 footer with a nice smooth, wide takeoff. It's not big, but it's fun and considering it's December 20th and the hill has only been ope for 2 weeks, it's damn impressive.
 
Haha, it felt might good. That first 3 off it was sketchy as hell because I wasn't certain if my muscles recalled how to or not, but it all came together.
