The state of the scene in Atlantic Canada

Hey what's up guys? I never even knew that there was a regional section to this site, at that, one for Atlantic Canada.

I'm really impressed with how many of you are out there. I've spent the past few years in Atlantic Canada trying to help promote comps and helping to push the parks in both NS and NB. I live in Fredericton and if any of you guys wanna sess some of the urbans on campus, let me know, we have some awesome double kinks, quad's, urban C-rail, not to mention dozens of rails over 100 feet long. Hit me off at jon.hartwick@unb.ca

As for the scene, I'm not gonna get into it much this year cause I'm graduating and trying to get that done, but my advice is get involved with the sport, and travel to compete!

It's funny that when I started skiing in Atlantic Canada I knew everybody with a pair of twin tips for over 2 years...it's sweet to see where the sport has gone, even here. Not sure if any of my boys use this, but if you'r looking to get involved with the sport, get in touch with John Emberly, Thor Durning or Jeff Jensen. Those are the guys still pushing the sport. Hit me off, peace and one

Blood, broken glass and broken bones just about sums up the last three years around here. I guess as we get older the battle becomes who can stay healty. If you could have kept those damn old borrowed 1080's on your feet you would have taken a comp of two. Peace Jon, and congrats on getting the whole education thing down. We have our whole life to ski.

thor you can't say those boose 'n' smash days @wentworth werent the greatest eh?

or maybe that mellow trip to poley?

i think we gave the young boys a rush gettin up there

lessons learned for the mellow trip to poley:

->the ford tortess and rental mini vans govern at the the same speed.

->dropping from 195km/h to 80 is decieving, no matter how much it seems like you could get out and run faster... DO NOT ATTEMPT TO.

->beer, when consumed by the pitcher, extends your skiing ability eponentially.

->cocky snowboarders are put in their place when a group of imports walks away with all their money.

->the ford tortess does not know the way home, it's ocupents must read the road sings and properly direct it.
