I have not skied them but I herd people really like them when it's super deep. They say that once you get down by the heli on harder snow they kind of suck though...it's a cool concept but those skis really only have a place in AK.

 
read the new Powder. the concept is that the reverse camber and sidecut will help you float in powder, much like waterskis. they dont, i stress dont, work on groom because the edges are literally opposite those on regular skis. if you only are going to ski at least a foot of pow, then the are the sticks for you, if not buy the pistols or another fat board that can rip on groomers as well

Ski8990 - The Spatulas are based on similar principles the govern waterski design. The reverse camber naturally pushes the tip of the ski to the snow's surface so less energy (almost none) is required to get the ski light enough to turn. The sidecut (120/125/115) is of less consequence in powder and you can use a more traditional (straight ski) powder technique. You bank the ski (like waterskiing) as opposed to carve them.

Therein lies the problem though - this is a one trick pony. Powder should be deep (> 30 cm). Forget about these on hardpack. The reverse camber puts such a small footprint on the ground, it's sketchier than skiboards.
