i feel like half pipe needed something like this, it’s always felt like the awkward sibling of big air and slopestyle, at least to me. pipe definitely brings its own kind of athletes, crowds, and hype and i do really enjoy it, and think it’s good that it’s getting its own thing separate of the other events
 
Seems like X Games and Snow League should have joined forces. Seems like there might be lots of overlap with the overall mission and being separate might make athletes have to choose one or the other. But who knows, maybe there is enough difference for both to be successful individually
 
so it 1.5 mill total so assuming men and women are paid equal, it comes out to $75,000 per discipline per event. not sure how the spread. do all the qualifiers make money?? I bet 1st place gets over $25k per event which is quite the pay for a weekend and would be $125k to sweep the series
