The Ski Show

It's been a minute, hasn't it? After thinking about it, I've decided to restart The Ski Show as a podcast that'll be available to download via iTunes. The live format was fantastic while the show was on WBKM.org, but it's becoming more and more clear that people want to download these shows and take them with them where ever they go.

But that's only the beginning. The best part about The Ski Show was always the interaction with the members of the greatest online ski community on the Internet, Newschoolers.com. Which is why I'm asking you to post suggestions in here about guests, topics you'd like covered, etc. This show is yours. Together, we can make it awesome.

Finally, I wanted to say thank you for all of your support during the last seven years. Whether I was at Meatheads, Ski The East, or Powder, the NS crowd has always had my back. You're the greatest fuckers around. Let's make some noise with this podcast.

Cheers,

Rogge

On a serious note, can you broadcast/record podcasts live? Or is it only for previously recorded material?

My favorite parts of the Ski Show were the live skype calls and overall spontaneous-ness that was a live broadcast. I think that was pretty fun when things kind of happened and the show went with the flow. Didn't some kids once run down to the station when you mentioned a giveaway of sorts?

The live was sick, the phone calls were great despite questionable audio quality. The thread where kids would ask questions or say something and you guys would respond on air was cool too.

im sure it would be super easy to do it as a live broadcast and then have it available for download as a podcast.

If you guys can help me figure out how the hell to do this, I'm way in. As of right now, I haven't found anything as good as WBKM.

there are lots of live streaming websites (think ustream, etc). I'm sure there are audio only ones too. I know you can broadcast just audio on ustream, but there might be a better player/interface to a dedicated live audio stream site. I'll look around.

google+ hangouts without video? I've definitely seen a few sites that let you download previously recorded broadcasts but can't remember any off the top of my head. I'll look into it.

If you really want this thing to achieve beyond anything you previously thought possible, hit me up. That's the only suggestion I have for you seeing how the podcast idea is kinda the best idea.
