My good friend is trying to produce his invention, called the skate ray. It is a light for your skateboard/longboard/any board. He just had an interview on the Denver News and only has one week to make his goal.

how far does the light reach? Maybe the video doesn't show what it actually looks like but in the video it looks like it only goes a short distance in front of you. I mean it's better than nothing, but it might not give you the proper stopping distances you'd need to stop in time. great idea though!

why do you want to skateboard at night? you could be on newschoolers!
 
Yeah but when you need to charge it, you need to plug in your whole board or take it off. Seems like it would've been better to make a mount instead, like GoPro.
