Oakden is going to blow minds next year? or Hjorleifson? both?

It'll be real fuckin hard to top Seth's ski movie III part, that was so cool.
 
sure people might get better then seth but will they change the face of the sport like mr morrison did? Any who i bet cha seth could kill it in the park, i mean ive seen video of glen plake doing rails, im pretty sure there was a published pick of seth doing a rail but im not sure.
 
Yah, you'd have to be pretty damn special to acheives seth's status as a ski god. He got to his level blowing minds year after year doing stuff people didn't think was possible or didn't think of period. But to achieve seth's level as a skier...that'll probably happen. Seth started tricking off of cliffs in vids when he was around 20s, how old is he now? Pushin 30? hjorleison is around 22, abma is around that age, not sure about dana flahr...assuming they don't ruin themselves in a wreck, they'll be rippin AK lines like it's a saturday afternoon in the park in no time.

No offense, but if you say that you don't have any idea what you're talking about. That would be the same with park skiing, too. It's balance in the air, and having the courage to do it.

And it wouldn't be anywhere close to six seconds. Jamie Pierre's 255 ft. cliff jump took 4 seconds of hang. And you have to be able to ride it out, unlessy you're Pierre (but that's 150+ ft. cliffs).

Plus, backflips take a lot of skill to do in big air. You have to know how slow to rotate, etc.
 
haha some guy? Jamie Pierre would be his name and your 5 feet high, it was only 245 haha, still fuckin gnarly plus he said hes never gonna huck another 50 plus in his life, seth will throw backs till the day he dies
 
I wouldnt go that far with ski god, but he is crazy at chucking cliffs. The only time ive ever seen him ski park is in the move 13. but then again everyone does in that movie. He is definitely a park of backcountry skiing history and he is a ledgend
 
oh my fucking god dude, if seth is not a ski god then who the fuck is, give me a break, seth is the most natural, most influential and progressive skier in the history of skiing. go watch the chronicles. his life is amazing, his contributions to skiing are crazy to think about.
 
without people like seth/pollard there would be no freestyle skiing/park skiing.

It would get old.

They are the gods of skiing. No park rat can achieve that goal.
 
one thing i would like to add is that plake started as a mogul skier, and was the hero for seth and his generation of skiers. it seems that there is always a couple people who stand above, first it was schmidt and plake, then seth and mcconkey, now it seems sage and pollard are leading the next generation of backcountry skiing. one thing about this is now there are some girls that are able to put together some gnar lines, though ingrid is definitely head and shoulders above all the rest and can keep up with the guys, i think that this is huge for the womens end because she is the first in any aspect of the sport to transcend the gender barrier. but back to seth, no, no one will ever attain SETH status, because he brought it to another level, but as new generations of skiers come there will always be a select feew that rise above and attain that legend status and be looked at as inovators in the sport.
