I am a senior at Lyndon State College in VT conducting a research study on the relationship between social media use and decision making in avalanche terrain. I think that this is an important topic due to the ever growing presence of social media in many of our lives. Attached is a quick survey that I would love for people to fill out. The survey is designed for backcountry skiers and snowboarders who both use social media and engage in avalanche terrain. If you have questions or feedback please message me. I will share the study's results when complete via email upon request.

The most views I've ever gotten from a skiing clip on social media by a factor of 100 was a POV avalanche clip where I got carried down the hill and partially buried (Not on purpose). Apparently People aren't that into things working out normally, good or bad. But TBH I wasn't going to post it at all at first because of this type of stuff. I didn't want to look stupid, or freak out my family, or have people think I thought it was cool or whatever it was, idk.
