The Perfect Golf Shot

What is the perfect golf shot to you? Is it the calculated long-distance putt, absolute bomber of a slight fade drive, or the perfect 58° flop onto the green? For me personally, I'll take whatever ends up in a favorable position aha, but those best satisfying hits are most certainly what bring us back.

Tbh anything still in play after 2 shots on like a par 4/5 lmao.

I saw a dude get snake bitten on a perfectly played tee shot on our 14th one day by hitting it perfectly downhill, rolls onto the green, sets him up with a birdie putt like 5 ft out and he makes par on it

Any putt over 10ft that goes directly in the middle of the cup, nothing better honestly.

Played a scramble yesterday it was a blast even though I didn’t play very well. Hadn’t played in ages so it was kind of expected.

But anyway the few types

of shots that stood out to me were 1) making a putt to get up and down out of a bunker to save par from about 25 feet. Our group went completely nuts over it, it was awesome.

2) Full swings with a 60 degree- when it comes out solid and is on target - the ball just goes a mile in the air and you have this long moment of suspense hoping your distance is right. Nailing a shot like that for a birdie look is amazing

if I’m in my zone mentally when I connect it is a perfect shot every time with any club. it sounds and feels perfect. kinda rare since mostly I manage to get distracted right at that critical moment

Mmm bon apatite ? I love those nice full swing 60s

tbh crankin an absolute bomb down the middle of the fairway feels the best. It could be just caveman brain of smash something hard and far but that contact keeps me comin back

Yeah, this for sure. Getting a few of those a round makes up for three putting half the time and keeps me going back.

Connecting with any shot feels good but only 1 or 2 putting on the green is the best. Drive for show, putt for dough.

I'm a sucker for a real nice chip. Get a perfect high arc and land it right in the middle of the green

Also I'm not skilled enough for putting and too weak for driving so it's the only shot I'm good at

Proof that evolution exists. Golf has always been hypothesized to have been around since pre-homo sapien times, and I think this is clear evidence of that

Teeing off on a hole that is perfectly shaped for the 90 degree angle slice I'm about to do....and then having it land on the green. I have this really shitty old driver that slices no matter what you do. Maybe it's me but hey it is only this club.

A long chip in always feels pretty good.

I hadn't gotten put sll summer but played 2 rounds while visiting back east. Pretty rusty but had some good shots.

Had a nice 300 drive on a dog leg with a narrow fsirway i was stoked on.

Also home course by my parents house has a par 5 that goes 90 degrees left a bit out there. I think I've made it over begore, but i got one over the other day. Course was wet and it was in the rough but was stoked to get it over. It's pretty tough. Also was a happy gilmour swing on it. Hadnt done one in a while.
