hundreds of thousands of people died there, mostly civilians, but also soldiers from all involved countries.

rest in peace and lets all hope for a peaceful future for all people on this planet.

the result of an unparalleled quest for revenge (led by christian nations, who value tolerance over everything... oh wait...) fueled with widespread hate towards anything muslim that changed the world more than the initial terrorist attacks did.

+over 5000 american soldiers in iraq and afghanistan

+around 1000 other ISAF soldiers

+around 300 other coalition of the willing soldiers

people with common sense were repeatedly told to fuck off out of the 9/11 thread and told to make another one about those victims. i do this hereby. if you have nothing better to do than lament 9/11 victims in a thread clearly not made for it, fuck off. no disrespect towards the victims and families of 9/11, but this is the place to acknowledge and respect hundreds of thousands of deaths who have no date on them and no official ceremony held for them.

(i know that there were other "reasons" to invade iraq, but its not far fetched to say that 9/11 had a reasonable influence in the decision to "free" iraq.)

Didn't know anyone that served but vibes to the families who lost their kids and loved ones. I don't support the war but I support the troops.

oh youre one clever dude, arent you?

but saddam wasnt a victim of this war. he received a proper trial by an internationally approved court. thats a difference

War sucks. Where does it get us? These days everyone's always amped as fuck about it. People can't wait for 'Merica to go stick it to some people.

I don't think anything's going to change any time soon though. It's a shame hallucinogens are o heavily demonized.

You're an idiot.

"the result of an unparalleled quest for revenge (led by christian

the initial terrorist attacks did."

Afghanistan was a quest for revenge? Give me a break. Maybe we should show a little respect for Osama Bin Laden, since his death was an unparalleled quest for revenge as well, and by your logic a victim of that "quest".

Get the fuck out of here you clown. Don't you dare act like you give a shit about any of the men in uniform who died in the Middle East. This is just a pathetic attempt to spout more of your anti-war bullshit.

anyone who isnt anti-war is a complete tool anyway. yeah, we should all be for war and killing people left and right because we cant understand their language or culture and they dont like us.

so afghanistan had nothing to do with revenge in the widest meaning of the world?

i dont know shit about men in uniform who died in the middle east. they were also victims of something bigger and i think its sad that so many people, regardless of nation left their live after 9/11.

A peaceful future?? That's funny. Humans have been fighting and killing each other since the beginning of time. Do you really think it will ever change???

i wouldnt bet on it, but i think that we have to technology to provide food, water and education for anybody.

and this will, almost by definition wipe out all these conflicts. only hungry and uneducated people are easy to manipulate.

if humanity is only half as good as all we think it is (i remember the shitstorm when i said that humanity is nothing special in the whole goddamn universe with its hundreds of billion of stars), we have to rise beyond our darwinist instincts and create a peaceful and responsible togetherness without destroying us nor the planet we live on.

in any other case, we wont have a future. who knows how many billion civilizations in this universe destroyed themselves before they could escape their own solar system?

don't you find it ironic that the US, responsible for killing all those civilians and other war crimes, has been the only country to put humans on the moon, and has by far the most robust space/aeronautic program?

All those civilians??? Yes we took the fight to them, however when the enemy is willing to march children into town square and blow up a crowd of civilians I have a hard time shouldering the blame for All innocent deaths.
