The Official Not Being a bitch thread

Every skier goes through the pain of being a pussy and not trying the trick they were planning for so long. Skiing is 80% mental to me. What are some unique ways you have, to commit to a trick and stomp it. I feel thinking in the right mindset, focusing on the positive rather than the negative works for me.

Tell all of your friends and everyone you ski with that you're definitely going for a certain trick. It'll make you feel pressured to do it 10x more

invison you doing the trick, take time ot think about the rotaton and how it should look.

Then just blast some good tunes, shake out the nerves and drop in!

Ding ding ding we have a winner! If you don't, nkt only will you feel like a pussy, everyone else will know you are

Was talking to a boarder bro today who was seshing this 20ft jump...

He said "I want to go for the double but I haven't boarded in so long and I'm riding a new board..."

I said "if you're feelin it, you got it man."

He said "fuck it"

I followed him into the jump and watched him stomp a double backflip first try.

Moral of the story, saying "fuck it" helps a lot.

People make skiing way more difficult than it is. You want to do a backflip, look backwards. Want to do a cork, tilt your shoulder. How about a rodeo? Just take your arm and try and punch your opposite foot. Didn't land it, do it again. Take it to a bigger jump. Throw it a little harder and you have a double. Anyone can be good at this sport if they think the can be.

yeah just find a nice deep tree well near the park and crawl in there and shimmy down and wax the mono ski. once you hop out youll feel twice as sick and twice as sticky and from there its all about whatever core concept of the trick youre throwing. pound that concept into your head and just let it fly and find out when you land/yardsale

I know this is a little over the top as far as responses go, but i dont like to tell people what im doing, it psyches me out too much. i like to come outta left field and drop something unexpected real quick. plus, telling people about your goals triggers some shit in your brain that feels similar to accomplishing a goal, so keeping it secret keeps the drive alive. check out this ted talk:
