The Official Idaho 2010/2011 winter STOKE thread.

Anyone go up today to see how much snow (if any) melted?

Also, how do you like your goPro camera. I was debating on getting one for this year.

I wanted to but I told myself I would do the one thing I have left to do by tomorrow today, ended up not doing that.

Cramming it in the period before it is due tomorrow

Would go this weekend but planning to go to breuno(sp?)

fucking amazing day of skiing. we hiked from the base all the way up to the towers and shredded like 6-8 inches of pow all the way down into the bowl and then in the bowl. Got me so stoked for skiing this winter, i had forgotten how much fun it is and i think i acquired a newfound love for the sport somehow

great day in the sun, get up there

get stoked!

haha it probably sounds better than it "was"

but it was amazing to me, only hit bottom, which is just grass and dirt like twice. The hike was probably like 30 minutes to an hour, i really have no idea we took some breaks and i enjoyed the hike. Just get a pack you can strap skis to, water, and poles and its not bad at all.

today was definatly one of the best pre season days i have had, way more snow than i expected. it was sunny out and the snow was great!

didn't end up getting there early enough to hike for any turns, but we set up a fun pvc tube after the wobbly handrail....fun for what it is!

today was fun, thanks for bringing up those two PVC rails they were legit. It was pretty sick to set it up like a cannon too.

This much.. but this is in the sun.. so more in the shade for sure.

Yeah, if they are going to stop here, they are probably either go to sun valley and go to dollar mountain. Or go to brundage. I doubt it if they go to bogus basin.

Well i just finished building a rail, I'll bring it up to the access road when it starts snowing up there again.

Probably a good point, but i want to use it at my house while i can before i have to take a 1hr drive up there to use it.

It was a great day up on the mountain. I'm suprised by how much snow their still is on Superior.!

How did you get superior? Hike much?

And it was so hot this week, all the snow melted on the front side did it not?

Yea, i was totally suprised.. I'll post pics in a sec.. but yea.. on superior, there was a good 6 inches.. at least. A lot of it on the front side was melted off, obviously.

Parked up at pioneer, then hiked the cat track around to superior..then hiked up night hawk… not a bad hike at all.. probably round trip, 2 miles…TOPS. pics up in a minute.

Really not much at all, just suprised that there was any at all.
