so what are you're guys thoughts on slope style this year? who do you think will win.what do you think about the course. discuss here.

The official slope finals thread will be made the day of, probably by someone on the news team.

Anyway my pick is Andreas! I know TJ agrees with me and I have a bunch of money riding on him.

ok so i guess its a unoffical thread but so what. this is a good topic starter. i think andreas will win, but i also have my money on jossi and simon.

I really hope jossi can land some decent shit without getting jewed by the judges. The slope course is going to be pretty sick to watch. There should be air tricks on all of the features. Im thinking that andreas could win but im hoping jossi will podium. Definately looking forward to some corked stuff off the up box

andreas will win. i hope, as far as the layout though, i think its really nice, an s rail would have been fun to see though.

i think Jon, andreas, jossi, and colby all have a ood chance. as well as sammy and PK.

its going to be sick

I agree on this one.

Andreas can do some pretty solid runs this year, he stomps all his 1440's nowdays aswell. Both unatty's and switch.

If he's lucky and does a great run, I think he can beat Jon. SPIN TO WIN!

im backing sammy this year, hes being skiing amazing for the past year and he really deserves a win, however, i think jon will win based on his airs...

werd I wanna see Jossi on the podium. and yea the up box should be interesting. jos threw a rodeo off that high box at the nz open so this one should open more possibilities

that pretty much sums it up right there.. itll be interesting to see what simon does tho.. hes got some switch dubs as well.

i hope either simon or jon. i feel like simon got sort of jipped out of the superpipe so i want him to get something in this. its a toss up between them (in terms of who i want to win).

Andreas is about as good as Jon in the air, without a few doubles and with a more forced style.

He's better on rails, but that wont really help him on this course.

Jon has more doubles, but its not likely he'll be able to throw them since the jumps arent that big.

Then there's Jossi and Colby who both want to win pretty badly, and both have switch doubles to thow.

PK has no doubles, and tends to not spin right side as much as he should.

So i think jon will take it if he can throw 2 double flips, if he can only get a kangaroo flip at the end, my money's on andreas. But Jossi and Colby can still come out of nowhere.

thankfully theyre all on my FF team.

^The jump is built for switch spins though. I don't necessarily think that doubles will win the day. Will we see a switch 14? An unnatty 14? Time will tell... as will snow conditions.

that up box is gonna be a show to watch, saw so many different tricks on that in practice yesterday.

i think it's a given that they'll be a 14, the real question is...will andreas pull back to back 14s?

I think only having two boxes and no rails kind of defeats the purpose of slopestyle comps. the way i see it, slopestyle is just a run through the park, see who can kill it the most on everything. by only having two boxes and a ton of jumps, it completely eliminates the chance to get tech on rails. Perfect example of this would be if ahmet or wallisch were in the slopestyle. both kill it in the air for sure, but you definitely wouldnt be able to see the all around talent of those two since half of their skills arent even being judged. I dont know, i think its wack. The course they had last year looked sick, its too bad conditions didnt let it go off.

i think it may be. sadly. remember this is the x games, not a solely ski event. x games wants drama and fireworks for the masses. that means numbers, not style. the masses don't understnad style, they do understand that 1440 > sw 7 true nose. they get excited about big spins and cool looking double flips with exotic names.

this means that the lolo favres and tanner rainvilles have no shot and that back-to-back 14s or whatever will win. whatever, it may not be slopestlye for the purists but if you get into the mindset of the masses, i guess it'll be fun to watch.

you know. i really hate huck contests. i think it would be really cool if all the athletes just did nice small technical spins with alot of style.

Im betting on PK and jon.

but the update was saying that jacob was throwing big too...that will be for sure a sick event!

X games live feed, they had a quick interview with him after... what I assume was the Snocross event, I wasn't really paying attention.
