The problem is that we are sinful, and are guilty, but to me there is hope because Jesus took the wrath we deserve for our sin on the cross, and rose again, so that any who confess their sin and cry out for mercy may stand as righteous before God. Some people hate that idea, and I get it, but others find it as the best news, and want to share it with others because there is hope and redemption. I am weak, and thats exacly why I need my church community and the bible.

As a fellow follower of Christ, I commend you for commenting this! I am ashamed that I have not been as outspoken as I should be about my love for Jesus Christ but it is something I want everyone to experience! What He did for everyone on that cross is something worth telling! there is always this stigma where we are “forcing it down your throat” which can happen, but most of the time we get so excited about Christ that we just want as many people to know about him as possible, and that comes off as crazy to some people. None of us are better than anyone else in the world, but that’s why Christ died for us! So we don’t have to be perfect! “For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Christ was tortured and died but was resurrected to show the power of God! All for us! He said if we just put our faith in Him, His death and resurrection we will be saved! “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

I can’t make any of you believe. I can’t. But God can change your heart and your life. I know I would not be where I am today if not for Jesus! I just want you to know of the hope I have in Christ and that you might think about it!
 
I believe religion is like skiing, there are a huge range of people and groups participating within it. There are lots of people who cast skiing in a light I do not like or agree with, or simply partake in the sport differently, (ski racers, influencers, suburban dads, vail, even some park skiers, the list goes on). The same can be said for religion in general and Christianity, just because one group within a religion is forcing something down your throat or coming off as aggressive does not mean that the church as a whole/the religion is a cult or whatever. Just as in society everyone is going to act differently and some people are going to take things too far. Regardless of belief I think we can all agree that humans are flawed and make mistakes, “forcing”religion on people or not addressing issues properly are just two of many.

people hate on christianity because it used to and still does set societal standards that many americans don’t want to follow e.g., supporting groups traditionally “oppressed” (don’t take that literally) by christianity such as queer people. of course this isn’t always the case but christians are the majority in this country and for the first time since this country’s inception people don’t need to follow outdated norms set by christians.
