The new Nordica park boot

So this was emailed to me a few days back, its the first info from Nordica on their new park boot, the Ace of Spades. Apparently built from the ground up by their freestyle team and the r&d guys at Nordica. I guess the pro team just got them 2 weeks ago, so I dont think they will be hitting store shelfs too quickly, definitely something to consider if you have a nordica foot like I do tho,

That looks sweet, like a mix of full tilt and spk's and il moros.I definitely want to check them out, the shop I work at carries Nordica so maybe?

coming out mid-season in a very limited release so we'll prob just find out if it's any good and maybe next year it'll be a real option.

actually loooks sweet considering colors but i believe the technology they use is basically what dalbello, full tilt and salomon have been manufacturing over the years. not really outstanding imho...

i think i read that they are putting out 3 different versions so not all will prob look like you just showed up for gay ski week

dalbello uses the same flex system for their freeski boots. they have a similar ("cabrio") design and come with interchangable tongues.

That rear boot clip is sick. Such a smart idea since just about everybody on this site has wrecked their pants by letting them sag.

yea from what I understood the boot will be super limited release for this season, might just be for shop riders and people involved in the industry, which sorta makes sence, lets them work out the bugs and have it pretty much perfect for the general public next season, regardless im stoked, Iv been waiting for a solid nordica park boot for some time, mostly sence my feet seem to love nordica

Just saw it first hand.
It's really like a cross between FT, Il Moro and SPK's.The colours are REALLY flashy, and by that I mean holy fuck flashy. The inside is really comfortable and plush. It's a lot lighter than spk's, but I noticed that it was quite a bit stiffer as well, although that might be because it hadn't been broken in yet. Also the buckle is an interesting design, but it feels a bit cheap and almost plasticy; we'll see how it stands in the durability area.

So they are a 100mm last, correct?

What is the 130 you are talking about? Sorry my brain isn't working right now.

the nordica rep wasnt sure yet, we knew about it before him. same with the new ski. It looks like its just a higher volume flexon-style. The instep looks a little taller than normal. My only concern with myself is that they will be too wide/tall.

I havent seen the liner in person yet, i for some reason think it might be a cheapo one. I know the boot is 250 on proform, so about 500-600 retail. Might have to swap it out for some intuitions.

I need to talk to my shop manager ASAP then. If I could snag those for $250 and try them out that would be bangor. Then if they don't fit, sell. If they do, Intuition time.

im pretty sure im just going to order them without trying them on, if they dont work, ill sell em or someone who works at the shop will take em.

Ya that is what I am thinking. And I trust your judgment enough to base it off of your input... This really sounds like the ideal boot for me.

We shall see.

worse comes to worse, i sell it on here if it really doesnt fit at all and make my money back. Some kid will pay out the ass for a boot only the pros have.

jeaaaaaa!!! my boots are nearing the end of their life, fucking stoked. its about time there was a narrower park boot out there.

the reps have know about this boot sence vegas in jan. They just didnt know any specifics till 2 weeks ago, and changing out the liner wont change the last of the boot, or am I mistaken on what you want to get out of changing the liner?

I have major instep issues (like something in my foot cuts off circulation almost no matter what), so a park boot with high instep sounds cool. How do you think it compares to a tecnica dragon? Narrower? By how much?
Any new boots that I haven't tried on yet sound exciting

I just mainly like my intuitions. Yes he knew the boot existed, but we wanted to know the specifics. I am aware it wont change the last.

its tough to tell until i get my foot in one. From what ive seen though, the dragons are the traditional low instep tecnica.
