The new kb

Sat sounds good. If you look on their website you can see some pics of their new stuff. I also put a few pics of that rainbow box on NS.
 
Yea, the "new" KB is sick. The intense snow we got helped alot, but Langman got the crew together and wooped Shawn's ass to get him movin. So it's all dandy.
 
Well KB is definatly going to be a few steps ahead this year, but i still think the park crew is to lazy. I know alot of them and they are all decent people but fucking lazy, like im preeeety sure they are getting paied all day buuut they arent out there reshaping nearly as often as they should be. Anywaays things are much better allready so im stoked about that.
 
My brother couldn't ave said it better. The rut at the beginning and end of the flat box. If you can't amintain that throughout a day, one single feature, it just worries me as to what will happen when you have 10-15 features to keep up on.
 
Yea, The landings will never be well maintained though, no matter what you do at KB. There's too many sucky snowboard kids who stop after every rail, and carve out causing the snowboard rivets. Shit happens, that can't be fixed without alot of new snow.
 
You cant just blam begginers, while they dont help much, the pople other there throwing down affect the landings and take offs just as much. Its not just KB, any resot is going to come accross this problem. Lastly, it dosnt take a lot of snow to fix the ruts.

All that lacks is the effort...
 
they took the boxes and rails out and moved them downa little so they get a new landing... which seems rediculously hard compared to just filling in the landings
 
It's steeper further down. Theyll last longer, and slide better. though i could be wrong, maybe I'm wrong about asumin position.
 
What they moved the jibs? i was unaware, im going tomoro which would actually be today anways, hopefully its better caus that rainbow box has been closed for sooo long and could very well be open if the park crew would put forth some effort
 
I talked to my cousin, who is second in charge of the park. He's sayin it wont be open for probably 2 weeks after this melt. But the park should be sick.

And PS - Don't blame the management for the poor quality of the park. I was talkin to my cousin on Christmas, and he was explaining that these guys that work for him arnt showing up. He wants to fire like half the crew, but he doesn't know who to rehire, he says he needs to trust the person will do their job before he hires them, so the park'll be sick depending on the crew gets it fully together.

PSS - Langman does shit.
 
yea a lot of the guys on that are lazy as hell and can't do more than 5mins of work without sitting down for an hour. just because theyre good at boarding doesn't mean they should be responsible for the park.
 
I was telling my cousin that. These guys have the perfect job, board, and fix ramps when needed. But some are just so lazy, or wasted, to not come to work. I was telling him to hire new people and he might give that a thought, but he's complaining, because most kids don't know how to build professional kickers, these arnt backyard jumps, but if he's looking I'll tell some people here...
 
me and DrJibb have put some effort into the park in past years. We grab the shovels on weekdays when noone else is there and fix stuff up and I hate to be egotistical, but we did a job that was 19184375 times better than the current park crew did on maintaining.
 
If Langman does shit how come ive only ever seen him out there twice? I know i sound really really critical here but seriously what the fuck is the problem lits not that hard, and yes i saw Langman out there working today for what? 15 mins? what the hell is he doing the rest of the day?? Secondly he really really didnt do that great of a job.... like u cant make a take off on to a rainbow box/rail aboove the box.... and last but not lest, and i dont know who to blam for this but why cant they groom the landings? Possibly cause Langman dosnt know how to drive a groomer but i wont go into that.
 
All right i ll stop ripping now, i porbablly sound like quite the asshole here, but i think it needs to be said. But SOTGranger whos your cousin? let me know when ur going to kb next and steve and i would like to go talk to them. Were at kb like 3 mabey more times a week, we are both more than overweelmed with happines to volunteer to help keep everything in top shape, and we know our shit we pretty much did it all last year like steve said and the crew was cool with it, but we would like to get some kinda authority to do this.
 
No, I agree with you, Langman does nothing. His job is to "design" the park in the office, he doesn't have to know how to built the stuff. His job is to take the credit for Shawn and a bunch of people saying he's in charge. My cousin, Shawn Voit, is head of the crew, second in charge of the park, he's super responsible it's just that Langman hired a bunch of shit people this year who can't do the simplest jobs, they party all night and just don't show up, or leave early.

If you're ever at the rails, ask who ever's there where Shawn is, then go talk to him. Don't mention me though, cause Shawn'll bitch at me, mentioning how this whole park situation is under control. It's not, go see what you can get him to do, I havn't done too much.
 
Yea, np, hit me up there sometime, I'm there a bunch. I got the tan snowpants, and either a dirty red-white jacket, or an Oakley jacket.

btw: yur so fuckin lucky to have a Talon. I almost got one, but the manifold was blown, I had to settle for a standard Tracker. How's that in the snow anyways with AWD?
 
I've got a green jacket with a fur hood, grey sessions pants, and Line Skogen Sprang Pro models.

As for the Talon, well right now she is broken down in my driveway, lol. But she'll be running again Friday when I get around to fixing it. As for in the snow, it is a complete beast. I love driving in the shittiest weather. Got some monster snow tires on it and it is completely unstoppable.
 
I think I saw you. Do you just kinda hang out at the top of the boxes alot with another kid? I think he has older scratches...

Ohhh allright looking c boxs, but being the pesimist that I am, Iam going to go ahead and say why did they buy 2 of the exact same box?? Possibly 2 different ones would of been cool MABEY, cause im sure those things were not cheap, but they will be fun. Everybody do the snow dance.
 
Yea, I was talkin to Shawn today, he said that there was no snow to keep up with the landings so they took the boxes out for the weekend. On Monday they're setting up the C-boxes in their place. At least that's the plan for now.
 
I'm pretty sure their different. I mean, they looked different to me when I saw them, and everyone else says theyre different. But Shawn wants to try putting one down half way on the side so you can transfer to one like an S-box with a point. Should be a rad idea...
 
it doesn't seem like that would work unless they are flat at the ends they would be angled different ways, so it would be like an x where the two are put together....but i can't really tell what they are like from the pic so im probably wrong
 
Naw, like the one starts close to the other, just three feet back say, and they touch in the middle and you can transfer over.
 
Yeh i know what ur saying abpout the semi S box idea with the 2, like ive seen pictues of mamoth doing that. They look really close to the same in that pic on kbs website, i havent seen them in person. Rail jam should be fun.
 
actually, there's not. I don't know how many skiers will show up. I know I will, and hopefully you guys. But I don't know anyone esle into it. WE'll see.

Anyways, the thing I dont have in my arsenal is the 270 on. I'm screwed for not having it. lol.
 
i would love to be there for the box session, but I cannot. I'm stuck at work til 9p that nite.
 
yea. I'm still gonna do it though I'll loose. lol. I was with a bunch of people tonight on the c-box. And I must say, I was sucking pretty bad on the c. COuldn't get the nerve to 270 off. While headskier up there is doing 270's on. Meh, whatever though. We'll have fun thursday.
 
till friday....im gunna try to head to loon tomorrow then waterville at least one more time before i go. i might be at jay on saturday too.
 
Who did I meet the other day? I know there was Dr.Jibb, but that's all I remember. Talkin about jumping that cliff...Who else was in that group of like 5 kids?
