so i recently got a shop sponsorship offer and it has me stoked. but now, my soccer coach tells me that i cannot accept endorsements or benefits or whatever they want to call it because it would make me lose my "amateur status" and i wouldn't be allowed to play college soccer next year. does anyone know of any ways around this? i thought that maybe i could get the shop to draft a document that says i am working part-time for them as a shop-promoter by skiing in comps and such, that way, i couldnt get in trouble with the ncaa. also, i found out today that if i accept any award money over a hundred bucks, that could also make me lose my amateur status. there's a comp this weekend that i could possibly do that.what do you guys think? if i get anything over $100 should i tell my coach or lie to him when he asks how i did?
