The MUST DO LIST at the famous (or not famous) ski resorts

Ski the top 50 resorts in the US and Canada. Me and Girlfriend set this goal 2 years ago, She has 40 to go I have 25 left. After that its on to Europe.

I have skied and surfed in the same day several times. Mt. Baldy has legit terrain, it's not Jackson or Squaw, but it has some pitches that maintain maybe 35 degrees for 1500 vertical. Many years the good stuff does not open, but this year it was for much of the year. I go to Mammoth every other weekend, but this year was great, because every weekend I did not go up I could ski some good, slushy steeps at Baldy.

Baldy is only one hour from Newport Beach, so I have skied until 3, then gone back and gotten a spring evening session at Newport many times.

The first time I surfed/skied in the same day was mountain high and shitty waves, so it was just to say I did it. This year I got some fun slush lines down to the parking lot at Baldy, and then pretty good surf in Newport.

I have yet to get a powder day and Baldy AND surf, that would be awesome.

Can you surf/ski in Oregon? I would imagine that would be another place to do it.

how could it be scary. the bbq is smooth as hell. when rainbow rails are set up right, it barely feels like you are grinding, it feels like you are gliding,.

Good Canadian one:

1. Pow Day at Revy
2. Kicking Horse Slackcountry
3. The Dive/Silver City/The Wild West, just cause
4. all of the lakes secret stashes and smoking spots, there are a lot
5. Bow Valley Summit
6. Legendary "last day at the horse" sunpit party
7. Ski Touring in Newfoundland
8. Whisgnar backcountry
9. Bow Valley Summit
10. Rogers Pass

giant rainbow, they originally made it so it could hook up to propane and light on fire, it's in yearbook (probably in the trailer if you youtube it).

damn that thing is scary! i wouldn't even hit a rainbow that was smaller than that and not on a hip at northstar, my friend did though, and got pwned, nutted and wrapped up like a crunchwrap supreme, but he wasn't good to go.

1. Pee in her butt.

2. Bang her like a hammer.

3. Heli ski in Alaska or Whistler.

4. Ski feshies at Mt. Baker for a week.

5. Ride a park before mid January at Alpine Valley in Ohio.

for the the bbq rail, i would be scared to lose my nuts. as for the dfd the transition from the first down to flat is super sketch, seems like it was welded badly or something.

nah the lip to the bbq is setup up perfectly, you really just hit the top of the rail and kinda float over it the rest of the rail

for one you need to work at a ski resort at least once, then dress really retro and find some 210's and huck backflips with them in a one peice snow suit, and then try and load onto a char switch.

anyone who includes rails in their "must do" skiing list before they die, you really should step outside the world of terrain parks.

I think lining up at 6 am on a powder day at KT 22 at squaw should be on every skier's list.\

1. ski generic park

2. smile a lot

3. ditch poles and dive head first into soft snowbank

4. spread my man butter on aspen cougars

5. get awesome!

1. Track out The Fingers at Squaw, all by myself

2. Hit Jordan at Whistler

3. Ski blower pow anywhere in Tahoe when it's bluebird

4. Corbets at Jackson

5. Ski bum at Mt. Baker for at least a year

6. Shred on the glacier in the summer at Whistler
