A few days ago I got to thinking and bought a mountain collective pass with the intention of taking a 4000 mile, rocky mountain road trip starting and ending in colorado. I would be skiing all the mountains on the pass, plus countless others along the way. I am wondering if anyone who has bought this pass in previous years has ever completed this undertaking? Im thinking I could do it relatively cheap, but perhaps im just naive on how much its truly going to cost me. Right now im thinking that with 4 people, in a relatively small car (a honda CRV) we could get the whole trip done in around a month, for somewhere between two and three grand (this is considering up to 10 additional days of skiing for either half price, or full price lift tickets at other resorts). For anyone who has taken a long duration roadtrip and stayed in hostels, camped, bummed couches think this is a logical number?
