The Masquerade - Reviews

The Masquerade dropped yesterday (10/5) on Itunes for $12.99. I'm interested to hear everyone weigh in on the the Film. I found it to be an interesting and out of the box approach towards creating a ski film. It's packed with heavy hitting skiers and unique perspectives. The overall skiing/filming/editing quality is phenomenal and I find it to be a refreshing take on cookie cutter/redundant fall release ski films. I would definitely recommend buying the film and checking it out.

It was definitely dope but obviously superproof doesn't make the average ski film, so if you didn't like the recruitment because of the whole storyline I wouldn't buy it. The fact that it was almost all big mountain was great and I actually really enjoyed the storyline for it. I'd recommend checking it out for sure but not so much to those who didn't like the recruitment

I reallyyyy liked the story/plot thing they did. It was different and creative and in my opinion it worked well. There's gonna be people who hate that kind of approach but there's gonna be some who love it way more than the typical approach to a ski film.

Not gonna lie, sometimes I get bored watching ski films. Not because the shots/athletes are bad(99% of this shit is gnarly as fuck and I appreciate that) but because it's like I've seen it all before. This was refreshing and I really liked it.

Couldn't agree with you more. I'd personally rather watch a storyline ski film than just a big compilation of shots.

I really liked the trailer seeing it at the if3 broadcast, but with the mass amount of really good ski movies having dropped recently and dropping here soon, I've been trying to decide which ones to watch first. Now that you've mentioned the fact this one actually has a storyline behind it, and not just a compilation of shots, it makes me want to watch it more and more.

Will watch it later today and come back to say what I think about it.

This is good to know. I'm not a fan of storyline in a ski movie. Give me good music, solid filming and great skiing and that's all I want.
