The Jiberish store is….

Literally the most awkward place ever. I don't know if anyone else has ever had this happen, but walking into the store you expect 'This shit is gonna be so poppin' man!'

and then its fucking empty except for the one cashier.

As you look through all 10 designs of shirts and hoodies, you realize you run out of shit to do after all of 45 seconds.

You try and make small talk with the guy at the counter, but he is too busy on his Mac Book Pro to really give a shit about how interested you are in the clothes.

You try and act surprised like 'Oh man, I've never seen this before', when really you have been planning what to get for weeks on end, and can recite the name of every piece of clothing in the store.

SHIT IS MAD AWKWARD

you only make it awkward by thinking its awkward, just talk to james hes chill, buy somehting sick and just check it all out, seems like thats how most shops are.

I remember my first trip to a boutique..

for real though that main dude there is super friendly/knows his shit. I always enjoy stopping by

when i was there dan was working the counter, super chill dude.

i had no idea what to except as it was my first time there, ended up getting an 8 bit gnar shirt, should have bought a lohi it was just before they sold out.

but now nothing is store exclusive so its sort of a bummer.

i was at lohi on thursday and it's only awkward if you make it. My gf and i were shopping and pete was there and we just made small talk as i made my purchase

The store isn't really designed to accomodate the kids who have seen, worn, memorized, and jizzed on everything they make before they even walk in. It is for the person passing by who never would have otherwise heard of Jiberish, or people like me who like to try before they buy.

just curious do you guys hire at lohi? that would be so dope to work there.

also you guys should sell a LoHi sticker.

Who was working there when you went? Yeah it is a little awkward at first but when I have gone with friends in the past it's actually pretty easy to start a conversation. I guess it all depends on whos working I know Gabe is mad chill.

When I was there you said some old lady walked and tried to buy him if I remember correctly...

You also had to add up everything with your iPhone, it was very funny

some lady did try to buy him, she was crazy! and yeah, my laptop crashed so I had to work without a computer for 3 days before a replacement arrived.

ya...

the two times I went you didn't have your computer yet,

then you ran out of bags so I had to carry my stuff out

I was referring to the original post. Yeah I just meant that it's different from any other store because you are typically the only customer in there and it seems like all the attention was directed at me haha. Like said before it's only awkward unless you make it awkward.

Thats awesome. I swear to god it was tanner goods, but I can't find it

for the life of me. Anyways, it was awesome, pics of your dog rocking

said class are needed. In fact, he might deserve his own thread in the

lookbook cult haha

Really? I met the other guy who posts a lot on here who isn't Dan (sorry dude dont remember your name), and he was super mellow. We talked a little about future Jiberish stuff, and how dumb kids were for expecting the ribbing to be tight on 4xl sweatshirts, I found the stuff i wanted whatever. It was pretty typical for a little boutique.
