The Home Resort affect

When i ski at my home resort i feel way more comfterble with jumps, not so much rails. I find that im so used to there jumps that other jumps feel akward, anyone also feel this way?

you just have to hit other jumps.

if you tell yourself that you are uncomfortable hitting jumps, and therefore don't hit or trick jumps because they are new, you just end up putting yourself in a shitty circle of intimidation. I did that to myself this year a little bit, it sucked.

just go ahead and do a 3 on another jump. the worst that happens is that you crash, and realize that the jump isnt all that different from what you are used to.

not that i through my tricks that im comfterble with just not tricks that i have only landed a couple of times. i just wanted to see if anyone feels the same

You get the feel and proper speed at your home area, sure theres a comfort to the jumps you hit the most often.

yep, i was pissed this year when i went to whistler and almost ate shit on some straight airs. totally different than mt. washington jumps.

all jumps are different. one time i went somewhere where they had a "25ft and 35ft" jumps...no fucking way....they were probably 25 and 35ft high from knuckle to ground, the kicker was like a quarterpipe and they were about 5-10ft from knuckle to lip.
but then sometimes you go places and the jumps are so good that you're instantly used to them, because they're better than your home mountain/very similar.
and you're like 12 right?
