Im doing a project for school and I need to make a timeline for how skiing has evolved since it started. I got like 10 major events, (first x games, olympics, first triple cork, even as far back as the start of arial skiing). Its due tomorrow and I'm ripped and can't think of anything else, If anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated +k

idk dude stuff like "early Europeans skied around mountains as a way to hunt game", the first skiing was cross country skiing, the first freestyle skiing was moguls and it began around 1960. then put 2005- tanner hall breaks ankles at chads lol

all I know is that people in like in like norther in Europe would use early forms of skis to get around the snow easier. all I can say is give it a google

Talk about Shane inventing pow skis and how it evolved the sport, then throw in that sick shot of him ripping that spine sideways. Usually does the job to fill some time.

I haven't watched it yet, but checkout the Bumps documentary.

Also, checkout Schneider and the Arlberg Ski School. Then again, history can be precarious, people will try to claim it.

Guys like Tanner Hall.... you never know how much he stole or borrowed from other people. Same goes with Shaun White or even McConkey.... and anyone who has been there since the beginning.

I am not implying anything about those people, just saying history can be manipulated and there are always other points of views and muffled or suppressed voices.

dis good stuff

You could add how powder skiing has progressed, like how they used snowboard presses to create the first wide skis because all the ski presses were too thin. Take a look into that stuff, its quite interesting

The New Canadian Air Force - Mike Douglas, JP, JF, Philou, three Phil's

The influence that IDEA had on modern, freestyle pow skiing (how Pollard, Pep and Mahre basically changed the game with massive, rockered, twin-tipped pow skis)
