The hell is going on with moderating NSG?

Seriously? You guys throw the ban hammer around like it’s nothing from 2012-2015...drive all the entertaining members away from this site, and now we’re left with emo 14 year olds that treat this website like reddit’s ugly step child and hardo Australians that post cringey “troll” attempts and pointless, redundant threads while unwarrantedly harassing multiple members every single day. Not only in NSG but all over this website.

I really don’t run to mods about this stuff and mostly just brush this shit off but I can’t even come on to a website that I’ve went to almost everyday for the last 10 years without wanting to nuke my account after spending 15 minutes browsing the forums.

I’ve contributed in almost every form possible to this website by donating multiple times, getting VOTD, multiple POTD’s, being part of the news team, contributing in gear talk by giving out helpful info from gear I’ve owned and using the forums responsibly, while trying to help new members learn the rules of the forums. And I hate to see a website I’ve invested so much time and effort into end up in the state it’s in now. Maybe I’m just too grown up now but I can see why a lot of people who have contributed a lot to this website over the years don’t want to come on here anymore.

I really don’t understand the mindset behind moderating the forums. This isn’t a “make ns great again” post, but ya’ll with authority should pick up on active, contributing members’ views and thoughts towards these certain people and realize that some people do not belong on this website. If it’s negatively effecting multiple members don’t you think something should be done about it..?

Social media isn’t the only reason this place is dying, nobody in their early to mid 20s and up wants to see that type of stuff on here. I’m trying to be the “change you want to see” here..by bringing it up in site discussion...but like cmon guys...

This has been happening over the course of the last year, it’s not jus the fact that it’s summer, you know if I was a mod I would have cleaned house months ago...these people would be long gone if it was 2013.
 
They should honestly limit users to 1 or 2 posts a day. You shouldnt get banned from shit posting but they also shouldnt be all of NSG

Lol I noticed this too. It reminds me of staying at your college town for the summer and its like you and 3 buddies so you find the stupidest shit to get into to pass the time.
 
If you ignore the trash and don't feed the trolls, things would probably be better, but y'all bitch and moan about every bad thread and they LOVE when you react/respond brother, you're smarter than that.

Also, the time period you're referring to was full of toxic trolls, constant hate and was full of people who didn't deserve to use the site. Now, there are 3-4 members who post "stupid" threads, not against the rules, not anywhere near as hateful or toxic, I understand you're annoyed, but that's why you're not a mod [tag=146110]@Chubz.[/tag] because you can't just ban/delete shit when it annoys you.

Honestly a progressive post system could help. New members could be limited in how many threads and posts they can make a day based on karma or something else. Similar to reddit I suppose but it helps keep the new randos stay in check. I think everyone was a pretty shit tier member when they where young and/or new to the site. But as you are on here longer you get over that phase.
