i think thats the name of the road, the one that goes to the Sac trailhead. anyone know if the road is open yet?
 
It opened the afternoon of the 4th I think. We skied the Great One on the 5th and it was pretty fun, but the lower section was already gone on the right side. There should still be plenty of skiing to be had for a while though.

it has been a few years since ive been up in that area. do you have to downclimb at all from the bottom of the couloir? is it sketchy at all? thanks
 
Just bring rock skis, all the debris from the entire season sits right on top of the snowpack in the summer. You'll have to walk a couple short sections from the bottom of the couloir, but nothing gnarly. Then you have the fun little hike back to the lake.
