The gnomes are coming

A few days ago, in the woods on my property, I came across a ceramic gnome. I thought it was kinda weird, especially because it looks like it hasn't been there for very long.

Here is a picture of the gnome exactly as I found it - I hadn't touched it at the time of the picture.



Last night, I had a few friends over for a fire and a some drinks. I told them about the gnome and they wanted to see it, so I went and retrieved it from the stump. I took a video:

When I got back to the fire, we made a shocking discovery. The gnome has my name written on it.



I checked with the people who built the house in 2005 and no one else named Dylan has ever lived here.

What do you think, should I protect him? Destroy him? Put him back?

Am I going to be murdered by gnomes?

I have an update:

The gnome has been living in our house peacefully since I posted this. He has recently realized his lifelong dream of becoming an astronaut.

Just this week he was accepted to a special, 3 day training program at NASA.

The gnome completed flight training today. He had some trouble with the flight simulator but Elon Musk still let him graduate.















Apparently he will be taking his first rocket flight into orbit on Sunday.
