We were all amazed when we watched Bobby Brown stomp a triple cork at 1000 fps. Now take this frame rate and multiply it by a billion, you get a camera that can film at the speed of light at a trillion frames per second. That's what the MIT just did. At this rate, Bobby's 3 seconds of air time would last a few thousand years at a normal frame rate. I heard Brain Farm and MSP just ordered 3 of them each to show athletes putting on their bindings in speed of light slow motion.

Pretty sure my meters broken here, but this is definitely not true. One trillion frames per second would require a ridiculous amount of storage space... also, this camera is definitely not being sold yet.
 
Sorry can't be used for skiing, or for anything outside the lab really:

"This camera does NOT take 1 Trillion frames per second. In fact, the

way this experiment is done, it doesn't even need to take ONE frame per

second. It's using a strobed light (laser) and very accurate timing to

create the same scene over and over again, taking a different shot each

time. The end result is that you can make a series of photos that look

like 1 trillion frames per second of video, but really, those stills are

all from different "takes".

1). The subject of the video has to be COMPLETELY stationary. You

cannot capture moving objects because you need many scans of the scene

to create the virtual video.

2). No other light sources can be used except the laser - has to be a completely closed system."

i get the joke though.

 
No the XGames did for Mega-Mo and Brainfarm for next years film
