The feeling of being employed

is such a great feeling. last summer I was jobless, couldn't for the life of me find a job and I applied everywhere. I thought this summer might be the same but I just scored a job delivering pizzas at dominos. can't wait to toke up and deliver some 'zas. but I especially cant wait to

GET MONEY

and then spend it surfing in south america for as long as I can afford. I feel sorry for any of you in high school finding a job once summer starts is gonna be a bitch with the economy and all

A bunch of people have jobs in the summer...but congrats anyways. I'd personally hate to deliver pizza for dominos you'll be their bitch. But hey, free/discounted pizza is good too!

I get to lead people up mt. rainier this summer for cash. YAY.

Other than that, I lifeguard and do freelance graphic design and will start to busker/sell CDs at some music festivals. stoked!

how hard is climbing rainer? me and my dad were planing on climbing this summer but is chickening out. i have climbed all 46 high peaks in the adarondeks. is rainer that much harder?

It's not terribly hard if you're in shape. 14,410 feet.

But it is a good endurance climb. Some parts are super sketch (top third mostly), but RMI if that's who you want to lead you is a good guide company. I do it through a relatively independent group, but we still get people. We take a longer trip around the lesser trekked side of the mountain, and and I'm just starting this year as a guide, so I'm not sure about all the ways of the mountain. As of now, I will be basically a paid intern.

well done.
im supposed to get a job but im a lazy sun of a bitch, and havnt been looking anywhere. my moms freaking out. i keep waiting i ahve this idea that ill just be out and about in public and do some good deed and some old dude is like "hey thats nice of you, howd you like a job?" and then give me mad loot and advice and shit. the sooner it happens the better

Haha, this thread just got me back in touch with reality. Probably 95% of the businesses in Bozeman are hiring right now, and I'd be willing to bet at least 40% would have work for high school kids as soon as they walked in the door. And yet I still work out of state.....hmmm.

Delivering pizzas could be kind of fun though. You'll always be doing something a little different and you can just jam out all the time and get some tips. The only drawbacks I see are putting miles on your car and probably hating pizza for the rest of your life.
