Ok this is a thread to see which people would be interested in joining the Dragon’s Lair. By responding to this you are saying that you would be interested in joining. For those people who don’t know, the Dragons Lair Cult is a place where people can openly discuss and debate issues intelligently. A lot of the discussion topics have to do with Sciences, current events, personal experience’s etc.

If you are interested in joining please answer one of the questions below and message your answer to Ghostdragon who is the cult master.

1. What is your political affiliation and why?

2. what are your views on the big bang, and why?

3. History, does it repeat itself and why/why not?

These questions frequently come up in the message board, and this way it helps me see where you stand.

Also, if you're a member, the only rule is that you try and be respectful to the other users and open-minded to what they have to say.

I encourage you to participate and share whatever is on your mind.

Ski pimp's cult is more radical, the DL is more thoughtful. Dl threads are about things like the need for prison reform, music piracy, abortion, and Pete's theory in physics that came to him somehow. That's just a sample... I'm in both cults, they're different, but both thought provoking in different ways.

Honestly, the question thing isn't necessary. Just invite anybody who seems particularly thoughtful in the regular forums. I think, personally, that political affiliations are bogus gangs with ambiguous objectives; that the big bang is a decidedly moot topic, given the fact that it's simply one of many theories given to explain the same phenomenon; and that any philosophical answer to the third question would be nearly entirely or entirely BS. AND BESIDES, people who want to be in the DL should go to GhostDragon, he shouldn't go to them.

2. The big bang theory does not work. We can measure the redshift of our universe (rate in which is is expanding), and studies have shown that the rate in which the universe is expanding is actually speeding up. Therefore, this makes the big bang theory exempt.

1. im a liberal republican, i favor a more conservative foreign policy and i support the war, but most other things like peoples rights and abortion im pretty liberal, i feel this way because its what i believe, and i could explain it but i dont think i need to

2. i dont really believe in the big bang because i think there had to have been some greater force behind the creation of the universe

3. i dont think history repeats itself i think that history gives us many good examples of how to handle situations similar to those of the past but history does not repeat itself

lineskier10, not at all. As for the ratio of liberal/conservative or whatever you want to call it, It is pretty balanced. In fact, not that long ago it had a dominating conservative population.
