The Dilemma?

Would you rather live near a mountain and ski through the winter but you cant ski through the summer ? or would u rather ski indoors but be able to ski through winter and summer?

Being from the UK i can tell you the living in the mountains is a WAY better deal. Indoor setups are reasonably fun but they dont have shit on a real mountain. No powder and your 1 run is 120m long. Although i do enjoy being able to ski at home during the summer a mountain is definitely the better option.

this so much. + indoor slopes cost a lot, 3hr session is easily the same price as a full day at a mountain.

Haven't gotten to ski indoors yet but I think it would be pretty fun for a little bit.

I think after trying the two for a season I would end up choosing the mountain for sure. Nothin like being in the great outdoors doing the sport you love.

Come on, this isn't even a question. Live near the mountains, and when you arent skiing in the summer, downhill/mountain biking is the shit. Fuck those European freezers

Mountains bro! The skiing is soooo much better, and I think it's good to take some time off to concentrate on other things.

Mountains. Indoor skiing would be cool for the summer but I'd rather have 5-6 months of real skiing.

Aka east coast

Mountains for sure you can ski in the winter and bike in the summer. I've seen indoor parks and they don't look that fun

Have you actually ridden an indoor park? Cos they are pretty sick. Also if you can't have fun just because the setup is average and the run is inside and small then your're in the wrong sport.

Indoor parks are alright, After doing 2 seasons going back to indoors sucks so bad. The set ups are really bad and at my indoor centre they only have stuff out 2 nights a week, sometimes it can be hard to get stoked when you show up and everything is pretty un-trickable and the jumps are so shitty. On occasion its pretty good but not often enough when it could be. Even a shitty mountain is better than indoors 90% of the time and your paying about $60 for 4 hours indoors.

Yeah i get that, I dunno about the ones in scotland but Hemel where i go gets it right most weeks. I guess I just feel super lucky to be able to ski on anything here.

Both would be realy really nice. But at the same time you gotta have some balance between skiing and other activities. Rest is an important thing and you may think you will never burn out on skiing, and you may not, but I wouldn't take the chance..MOUNTAINS ALL DAY.
