The bottom line, is we need to better educate the youth, so they grow up to be productive members of society. i dont want to hear a single argument about that. Anyone who does, is simply wrong. Private schools are fine, but public schools should all be given EXACTLY the same amount of $ per student. its not their choice that they were born into poverty, and i think its wrong that that they are penalized for it. Im totally against handouts to adults, but an education is the ticket to freedom, and to deny anyone that is to deny them their freedom. THAT is un American.
on the second issue, the health care issue, its in the BEST INTEREST OF EVERYONE IN THE COUNTRY for everyone to be as healthy and productive as they can be. preventative medicine is a far better approach (see Japan), and is much more cost affective. if everyone is healthy and not stuck up in hospitals with McDiabetes, it suddenly becomes much more affordable to care for peoples actual needs. the problem isnt specific policies, its cultural. because its cultural, dont expect it to fix itself over night. its a problem of attitude, and jealousy. people refuse to consider the needs and views of their fellow man, and because of that, they suffer. the key to a better future is to understand that everyman, poor or rich has concerns, and if you can address them, or at least acknowledge them, everyone is quite literally better off.
and the problem with conservative (hesitant to change) values in the world we live in today is that they assume the world is static, when in fact we are in the middle of one of the most disruptive technological eras of all time, and doing the same thing thats been done before will not work. I know many republicans refuse to believe in evolution, but human life, and quite literally everything people create follows the same basic laws. its not something you can argue about; its ingrained in human nature because its ingrained in life on earth. In order for america to dig itself out of the hole its in, it must change. how do you think we got here? by doing the same thing.
Kids, the bottom line is that America needs to focus on quality, not profitability. when you do things right, and take pride in what you do, that creates value, and value is what drives profitability. Stop arguing about petty differences, you are all quite literally perpetuating the very thing your arguing about.
