The Developing Sport/Culture Of Scootering

thats pretty cool. there doin some tech stuff, not trying to hate but i really dont like how it looks though, like scooters in general...

yeah this is me about 2 years ago. ive been scootering for a long time. its not developing, its been here for a long time. look at www.scooterresource.com. its basically NS for kids who ride scooters.

dont hate, the average five year old at your local skatepark is not an accurate representation of scootering. its like looking at yuppies and gapers and thinking thats where freeskiing is today.
 
i didnt know people still scootered... and were actually good at it. props for doing something different.
 
word, all the kids i see riding a scooter at my park are "yuppies" but its pretty cool watching these kids kill it
 
i love just fucking around on scooter's, but being this good is just ridiculous. its siick
 
illl admit that its ridicolously impressive and hard but i personally think its kinda gay. im not trying to hate on people who scooter because they have more skill than i probably ever will at anything but i dont think its that cool.
 
Scootering is dying, not developing. When I was 10 every single person I knew had one. Now I'm the only person I know that even owns one. It is fun to ride when I'm drunk though and I can still tail whip. Its one of the like remixed ones though with the little front shocks and the raised platform. Its even got a wheelie bar on it. Haha

But ever since I replaced my broken skateboard I haven't even looked at it.
 
wrong use of the word "yuppies." i pretty sure that it means when chineas people wear US name brand cloths, i even learned about this in global studies.

Yeah yuppies are "young urban professionals", a term coined in the 80's. These days it pretty much just means preppy suburban white kids though.

My roommate brought his old razor scooter to school and we bust it out when we're drunk. I tried to jump over a bunch of stairs and fucked my shit up. Scootering is hard.
 
i used to scooter a ton when i was little, im into the booting now and ever since i started longboarding the scooter hasnt been touched.
 
hahahaha fuck that. get that kid on a bmx and it'd be legit. hes fucking scootering thats something children do.
 
while it looks gay as shit i have to give props to anyone who has as much skill as the guy in the first vid. i mean think about all the shit they took trying to get that good. now they can show up at the park and not get the shit kicked out of them.
 
we should just bring back everything from the 90's and beyond. devolve and be really lame again. get all our pornography and fashion tips (plaid vests and straight leg jeans) from Playboy. girls could grow their bush out. fuck Playstation let's play poker. bring back STD's.

i feel like it's just going to be who can do the most tail whips soon, i can't really see it progressing in any other way
 
It's definatly takes alot of skill so i respect that, but at the same time i feel like, it's still scootering...
 
Haha yeah that is amazing and crazy and insane but i just cant take 20 + year olds riding scooters seriously.
