The decision of all decisions

I've finally decided what i'm going to do when i get money. i don't really like it, but it's probably the best choice. for the past few months i have been wanting to buy a camera a surfboard and skis, but i knew i could only buy one. i came to the conclusion today that surfboard is gonna be the way to go. since i only get to ski about 2 days a year, (seriously the most i've skied is 4 days like 3 years ago) and i would be able to surf easily more than 3 days a week from late february to late november, a surfboard would be the better choice. plus, i want to go to college somewhere out west, so if i bought skis for here on the east coast, i'd prob have to get new ones in two years anyway. i really wish i could get more days on the snow, but for now it looks like it's rentals/demos until i go to college. it's gonna be hard to resist some deals that go down, but i'll have to fight the urge and wait two more years.

although the main reason i came to this site was to learn about "newschool"skiing and find some used gear, i'll still stay on and browse around. after all i've been hooked since the day i've joined. in a way i feel like i'm leaving the community by not getting skis, and not being able to share my on snow experiences, but hopefully if all goes well, i'll make up for all these years lost not skiing when im out west in college.

no need to reply or anything, just thought i'd let everyone know what a tough decision i had to make

and yes who knows, maybe if i somehow get a high paying job i'll be able to buy both, but at this rate it looks like im gonna have to choose only one and save for a car or something

Dude you must make like 4 dollars an hour or something. Work like a month and you will have enough money for the board and the skis, if you work full time.

That's shitty you can't get money for skis, I have no skis either so I only got to ski one day last season.. it's no bueno. Surfing is cool though you'll be able to surf more tha you could ski probably anyways

long island, so the closest mediocre skiing is like 2 hours away. it's not the location though, it's just my family and friends not being so snow friendly and not wanting to pay $40 or more bucks each time. hence why i want to save some money for a car so i can drive myself.

also here's a little comparison to my ski days vs. beach/bodyboard days last year.

ski days- 2

beach days- 72 (and that was before i got my winter suit, now i can go until late november and start in early march)

dude u suck for even trying to decide...obviouslt skis come first....camera a few months later..then buy a surfboard when ur fifty, get insanely good, and end up on teh discovery channel
