The day I don't wear my helmet skiing this happens. GORE

So i was skiing in my front yard hitting my 18 foot long box and just chilling. For some reason i decided not to have my helmet on and i regret it deeply. I 270'd on my box and went for a switch up but slipped back and hit my head HARD. I got up and went to feel for the bump just thinking thats it but i look at my hand to see massive amounts of blood. so fast forward 2 hours and i have six stitches and might me a little concussed.

now for the pics.

it didnt hurt honestly. hitting my head did but not the cut. i thought i just had a huge bruise untill i looked at my hand.

this is the truth wear a fucking helmet. this was on HDPE imagine a metal box.

i was going to get staples but they decided it was to bad for staples. they said if it wasn't so deep they would of stapled it so maybe staples are better lol. when it was clean you could see straight to my skull

here is a picture of my legs with my SPK's still on lol. i walked in with snow pants and my boots and everyone was like WTF. it was really funny.

Dope sauce. Same thing kinda happened to me, but kinda not. I was just going to do some general shredding down some groomers because there was shit from park and I was buttering at mach 10, caught an edge and landed straight on my head. But the differance was... I was not going to wear a helmet, but I randomly decided too. It hurt a lot, but probably not as bad was without a helmet. And that is my random but somewhat connected story.

Get better fast!

haha actually he had his jacket and shirt on but he started bleeding all over the place and i was like uhhh you should probably take your jacket off and then he had his senior shirt on underneath so i was like yah well you should take that off too. me and my friend had to clean up all the blood from his gear after he went to the hospital.

ahahaha dude i'm now thinking about you getting hurt, them being like " MOM GET THE CAMERA" so you could take all these shots ahahaha!!!

i love it.

that sucks bro

my helmet never leaves my head...and when it does it's replaced wit my full face for backcountry

i love your skis tho. i have the gold ones

such legit skis

get well soon man

Dude i absolutely love them also. they are the most durable skis ever. i have a pair of 06 addicts (white and green ones) and i just find myself coming back to the chronics. except they are center mounted and i cant ski the ice coast well with them lol

you should of wrote "satan" on your chest with that much blood, but i geuss you can wait for the next time

ive cut my head open, i thought it was just a bump, but it was bleeding everywhere, and it was only 1 inch long

crazy

man I feel for you. ive never really had any major ski crashes. until today also. i was skiind downa glades run at smuggs and there was this tree with snow on the side i wanted to sorta ride on and tail tap. and there was a bump of snow before that pile on the tree. as i was going i was indecisive about whether to gap from that bump or just ride up on teh snow on teh tree. couldnt deicde. and ended up catchin tips or i dont even know what but just drove straight into the tree. there was a fat branch sticking out and my head slammed into it right on my ight tuneup ear pad. fuckin hurt tons. my head bouncved back and i had liek a 1 sec black out. anyways now I realize i woulda been FUCKED if i WASNT wearing my helemt cuz i was goin damn fast. and now i have this weird bump thing on my ear nd it hurts like a bitch. someone said pinched nerve or somethig.

and btw, the pic of u in the hospital - arent u wern jeans not snowpants?

i was skiing yesterday and did a 270 onto a box and my ski cam off before i landed on the box, thats all i remeber because after that i was at the end of the box, no clue where my ski was. and then i tryed to get up but fell back over, did that again a few more times, then i finall got away from the landing of the box and my head was hurting soo much. then i tryed to duck a rope going super slow, but still got clothes lined, then i skiied down to bottom, went inside for a bit, then went to ski patrol, sat there for an hour, and took it easy the rest of the day. luckly i was wearing a helmet.

now im gonna wear i helmet for backyard skiing. hope you feel better.

i had jeans under my snow pants so i took the snow pants off when i got there, but didnt have other shoes so i put my boots back on.

why would you wear jeans under snow pants

not only are jeans so uncomfortable, but they restrict your movement as well

nah bro, its sweatpants all the way, if i wear them at all...

well not all the time you think you need one, ex. in your back yard/front yard, i dont wear one, but after reading about this i am.
