The Candide Invitational 2008

One of the best and one of the most underated ski comps is about to kick off in la clusaz, france. However no one knows anything about it. Do we even know if newschoolers will have a reporter over here in Europe. The combination of the set up at la clusaz / candide / and live reggae music sounds insane!

Confirmed riders so far: Jon Olsson, JF Houle, Charles Gagnier, Sammy Carlson, Jossi Wells, Peter Olenick, Colby West, Simon Dumont et al.

cool, i just fought there wasn't gonna be one.

i hope it gets the coverage it deserves.
 
i think people need to realize that the candide is not a comp, its more like a superpark where people film on rediculously huge features and i think the reason people need to be invited is because the features are way too huge and you might die if dont know what youre doing.

oh and does anyone know what the features are this year?
 
yeah hadn't heard anything of it this year so i didn't know it was even happening but i doubt he'll be seriously hitting any of the features

anyone know whats up with the Candide Invitational Story?
 
well when jon retires from freeskiing he can get sick jobs making jumps for all the comps... this year he has made them for winter x, the north american open, the joss, and possibly the candide

siick i wish i could go watch all this guys kill it! i hope Candide is fully recovered for it, that would suck not being able to sesh with all em pros in your own comp for suure
 
so its going on now and haven't heard of any coverage from NS, it should be just as big of a deal as JOSS minus the edit comp
 
Yep, we definitely have someone over there taking photos and writing about the event.

There will be coverage on the front page as things develop!
