The best all around movie

are we talking about all time, not recent? the movies that have been mentioned so far may be the mildest all around movies IMO, no good plots or depth to them, just stupid funny or stupid action (although dumb and dummer is simply classic). i'm going to put in my vote for forrest gump.
 
talledega nights? green street hooligans? Man you guys dont watch many movies my vote goes to maybe Children of Men, or maybe for really recent movies id say No country for old men
 
my teacher asked me "whats the capitol of north carolina?"

she yelled at me and i peed my pants, and i wore my pee pants all day, i never changed my pee pants, im still wearin them pee pants right now.

shawshank redemtion

fight club

boondock saints

remember the titans

dumb and dumber

blow

and a ton of the classic gangster movies...resevior dogs and all them

but my vote for best all time would have to be PULP FICTION.
 
Shawshank, Fight Club, and Boondock Saints are all good movies. I saw children of men and I wasn't impressed. It was decent but I honestly was expecting it to be deeper. I don't know maybe I need to watch it again.
 
oh and casablanca, psycho, 1970s king kong, and any hitchcock like dial "m" for murder

i cannot believe i'm still the only one who has said forrest gump!!! what is wrong with you people? that movie is pure gold in every way: comedy, great plot, nostalgia, drama, and some of the most quotable material ever!
 
you coulndt be more right...the movie has every aspect of a great movie...not to mention anything you need to know about american history is in there..the movie inspired a restaurant, that cant be said for many others
