The Beauty of Mount Snow, VT

To start off, I wasn't sure if I should create a thread, but I noticed there wasn't a a "post your latest video project" like there were for photography and art.

This was our first project like this, and we are pretty stoked on the result. We woke up at 3AM in the morning to leave from CT and head 2 hours to Mount Snow at West Dover, VT to catch the sunrise. We then hiked up Carinthia and set up to film. This was filmed with a Canon T3i and T4i with the kit lens and a 75-300mm lens with Magic Lantern mainly used for the timelapse shots. We both didn't get the exact shots we wanted for the timelapse, I missed the framing a little and my friend had it on aperture priority so it got washed out but we worked with what we had and made the best of it! Any feedback and critique is appreciated.

Some good shots mixed in there, but I recommend picking up a stronger tripod, the shaky shots were pretty difficult to watch without being distracted. The shots also just seemed randomly placed, unless it's just a "video quality test", I think all video's should attempt to create a story. Next time try documenting the 3am wakeup with you and your friend and tell your story about how woke up early to go out and shoot. Overall, good stuff though man it made me want to get out and film

Yeah that's the main thing we kept saying, it was pretty brutal but we definitely are investing in that after seeing how some shots with it came out. We thought about doing some of the shots of us preparing and the way up but at the same time we just wanted it to be about the mountain, and were were pretty pressed for time to actually make the sunrise so we couldn't stop in places I wanted. Thank you for the feedback man, I really appreciate it!

I thought the general shots were good in terms of framing and image quality. Just work on getting a steady tripod and you'll be set
