The ATLAS CAM

Didn't even look that great, the minor bumps and wobbles take away from the shots, makes it less "magical". Granted, they did a bunch of moves that are probably impossible to make perfectly smooth, still not really worth it IMO, its probably expensive (is there a link to it?) so im not really sure how its supposedly better than anything else out there.

Agreed. Im not sure how this device works, but many of the shots seemed to jolt around. I cant think of anything that will replace the glidecam anytime soon. (as far as price goes)

Jesus you guys are pretty fucking quick to jump to skepticism considering you have absolutely no idea how this works.

There is no doubt an insane amount of engineering that goes into something like this, and you guys are talking out your asses on the proof of concept video. Of course its not perfect, but its able to capture images that wouldn't otherwise be possible; that's the whole idea of a proof of concept display.

These guys do tons of badass shit with their drones:

the aerials comment reminded me of one someone posted here a while ago. I believe it was a specialized robotic dolly for video that supported rolling movements. +k if anyone can find that video, it was really cool. It was a product video shot using the product, and from what I remember, it was pretty well made.
