The appreciation thread

Walking to my car this afternoon, there was the most beautiful sunset. Everything was calm even though the streets and sidewalks were bustling. The smell of food on the grill wafted in the air and people had smiles on their faces. The day was done. Stress that had built up was released as the daylight faded, and the trials and tribulations of the daily grind became insignificant. I unwound. I relaxed. I became as calm as the evening was still. It was truly a beautiful sunset.

My point to all this is, it is SUPER easy to bitch, I do it all the time. Tonight, however, I realized I don't really take time to appreciate the little things and when I did, it felt amazing.

So I wanna hear what you appreciate, big or small, near or far. Help me newschoolers, help me bring some light to this otherwise cold and dark existence

I appreciate the people at work who are there for me. There’s plenty of people who are negative, rude, and unhelpful that those few nice people just mean the world to me. It’s so cool having someone you know is looking out for you.

I appreciate good friends. like the friends who would fight with you even if they knew you were wrong

I appreciate the time I get to spend with my family and friends. Those times seem to get shorter and shorter. That whole thing about time speeding up as you get older.........its true.

Has to be the summer, meandering up a ridge in the mountains with birds chirping and no made made anything as far as the eye can see is the best. To bad christafer Columbus didn't stay were he was.

I appreciate technology - specifically spotify. Not only can I find most any song, I got to listen to a buddy's album today. Haven't talked to or seen him in a long time and we use to jam out all the time. We weren't any good back then and tbh he's not too great nowadays but it took me back, and I appreciate that

I skied Breckinridge™ yesterday, even paid $127 for the day pass using a friend's EPIC® pass buddypass discount. The lines were phenomenal, the runs were flatter than my first girlfriend, and the dj was bumping the latest songs you've already heard too many times.

BUT aside from the glory of a weekend day at summit's busiest resort, my friends had a condo at peak 7 so the beer was flowin, the hottubs were bubblin and the gaper babes were glowin'. I didn't expect lunch or breakfast (had pizza in my pocket for the lift) but my friends all had their shit together and we feasted like champions with food their family's had brought to the condo.

The craziness was everything I had expected, but I met and hung out with some of the most fun and inviting people I could've ever hoped for. And that, I appreciate.

I appreciate the one guy who is always up at the mountain no matter how bad it is, and will always put a positive spin on the conditions no matter how garbage it is.

appreciative of always seeing familiar faces at your favorite lift. One of my homies from High school always works the weekends and i'll always throw him a fistbump

That's such a dank feeling man. Sometimes, the mountain feels like home moreso than anywhere else.

I appreciate how I can hop on down to the local mexican restaurant at 4pm and get a half gallon margarita to go. Why tf hasn't this always been a thing
