The age old rail link debate

Alright fellas let’s end a debate of how many kinks a rail has. Let’s say there is a DFD in the park and someone asks you how many links the rail has. What do you say?

1 kink or 2 kink.
 
I can't remember if it was on here or Yobeat when that was still a thing but I remember someone saying that a rail isn't "kinked" if the kink is convex, e.g. a flat-down rail isn't a kink rail. Only "concave" kinks count such as down-flat / donkey dick rail.

Anyways I disagree and a kink is a kink.... dfd is a double kink rail, dfdfd is a quad, etc.
 
It’s a double kink technically but in just slang it’s a single kink as a kink is a down to flat in the way people usually use it
 
every change of direction/angle/inclinaison is a kink.

Down-flat or flat down = kink

down flat down = 2kink

down flat down flat down = 4kink

Alright fellas, lets end the age old debate. How many seconds to blow your load when you see a new Guccimane7 edit drop? 5 seconds or 10?
 
counting each kink is for the people who think everything is a pissing contest and for some reason snow sports are the only ones that do it.

I agree but this dude is probably one of the best snowboarders we got like that’s obviously what they, as a sport, are counting it as. Makes no sense lol

He is a good snowboarder for sure, but he also does not know how to count to three. Or seven. Or at all.

1, skaters are all about counting stairs etc lmao

2 it has nothing to do with a pissing contest, it's just a simple matter of counting. "kink" isn't even a jargon word, it very simply refers to each kink in the rail, the same way any person on earth could identify a kink in their garden hose

this oddball way of referring to a dfd as a kink reminds me of when surfers purposely underquote wave size to a crazy extent to sound cool and blasé

By that logic, a flat down or donkey dick rail would be a half kink. Idk I think the snowboarders and skaters are wrong on this one ?
 
How this turned into a quality thread is beyond me, but I have a new question, how many kinks does a battleship rail have?

what would the people of this weird school of kink-counting answer? i honestly don't know haha
 
Like I said, I agree. But skaters and snowboarders were hitting kinked rails before we were doing it on skis

I think you figured it out. He hits it after the first FD so I guess he’s saying he only hit 3 of the kinks which is confusing

The 7 kinks of the rail don't magically mutate into 3 kinks if someone rides over the rail with a snowboard...

so many snowboarders think differently. guessing a lot of you follow the airtime podcast and bombhole podcast and have seen ppl weighing in on this!

I agree a DFD is a dub kink
