The 2011-2012 Saga thread

Bump, I see FD just dropped there presales for next years stuff. Hopefully Saga will follow suit and well see this lookbook soon...

i actually think they dropped it today last year ? or it might have been july 21, they will most likely drop a look book this month and presales next month

quick question, how does the summer line of tees and tanks fit, is it like a regular fit or huge ass saga fit? I regularly wear a xxl (6'3 215lbs not wigger)

ok does anyone know if there are going to be multiple colors of the slim fit/skinny line? and anyone know the waterproofing? hopefully 20k, fingers crossed!

yeah the only downfall to the jacket in my opinion was just cosmetic last year. Not that it effects anything but the saga logo peeled off on the front or has began to peel on both of my jackets from last year, gold coast and blastoff. But like I said not a big deal in my book, but could see why it would be worth fixing for this years line

naw dude, they had presales 1 year ago today. for some reason i still had my conformation email an it was from today. im bummin theres not even a lookbook yet.

i kill myself now :( what ever i will hit up mr harper at saga in Mt hood this next week to get some answers from him

hahha you needa do what that kid who made "the perfect newschooler" thread did, and get shots of next years stuff!

funny. i talked to the owners of saga today and there is going to be a skiing and snowboarding line. the skinny pants r not like gay ski pants just like regular snowboard pants. also the lookbook is being shot tmrw

You do realize you sound like a complete idiot, right? Seriously, stop the fucking hate, the double standard you're suggesting is absurd.

The camo pants, amazing... just what i want... and what First drop tried to do but failed, horribly..

and that jacket design is amazing too

will this turn into a love for saga thread, hate fd thread?

i am simply just letting people know. the only reason i stated that i talked to the owner of saga is to show that i know and im not just guessing about the given info

snowboard pants are typically thinner at the knee and get wider at the boot. thats what is in style for many snowbarders right now. so if saga is making a snowboard and ski line, it would be wise to create what is in style for both sports.

of course the two fits are not specific to snowboarders or skiers, its just easier to say the slimmer fit is more of a snowboard style. jibbalicious is still 'correct'

either way, im stoked for the lookbook

Was going to make my own skinnies this year.... But if saga's going to make quality skinny pants I better support them! Stoked and it's absurd to say that skinny pants are "snowboard pants."

ok seriously the only reason these threads are so long is because we already have noobula, jibbalicous and the clap all arguing about nothing, and people fighting over skinny pants and such.. Please lets all just shutup unless we have something good to say...

Just here to share some thoughts about snowboarder vs skier style. Companies such as SAGA, ORAGE, and HOLDEN all have their outerwear styling on point. I don't know their history, or much about any of them for that matter, but I've seen them all geared towards skiers and worn mainly by skiers.

I am a snowboarder who made the transition from wearing Thirtytwo, 686 and Burton TO Orage and Holden. Main reason is the styling is so much better, both in functionality followed by fashion. The LONG CUT jackets are great. They offer phenomenal protection and look absurdly badass. They make long jackets that doesnt sacrifice width, and baggy pants that don't have ridiculously oversized waist unlike 32 and 686.

Now I am one of the few snowboarders that wear Ski Brand outerwear. I love all the boarders that ask me what type of jacket/pants I have on. I've got a few friends that wear Saga and I can say that they are great quality wear. Nothing but love for skiers and snowboarders alike.

As for the original post, I love both styles. The skinny pants are great, I have a pair and I love the change in feel and styling. When I don't feel like going baggy, I go skinny. Best of both worlds.
