I'm 6'1" 200 for refrence and i havent used suit yet, seems comfier and warmer than friends saga jacket than last year.
 
Also I'm not picking sides, I ordered saga cause I like it more for my own reasons. I just think the people going on about waterproofing are fucking morons.
 
soooo sick! Ordered the same jacket and glad i did because this looks so good. now just have to wait for larges to ship... :(
 
waterproofing is only part of staying warm and dry. A lot of it has to do with breathability of the fabric, without good breathability you're a lot more likely to perspire which can cause you to get really cold really fast.

The only point i'm making here is that good outerwear fabric has more to it than just waterproofing.
 
saga xl is appropriate size but to my knowledge only one guy on the fd team rocks xlt and hes 6 4. but i think if you get saga you could sell it for a better price instead of fd imo.
 
i more than agree with you. but waterproofing plays a humongous role as well. your jacket can be windproof, breathable, warm, but if its not waterproof or at least very water-resistant, then you're going to end up being cold.
 
it's also the fact that FD is 2L and Saga is 3L... in 2L the breathable membrane is exposed, in 3L it's covered. You won't get wet with 2L, but 3L will keep the water off of you in the first place
 
Right here. they need to remake a jacket that is similar to the shitake color. Sooo dope. goes with everything and looks so clean.

anyways, to the kid with the purple jacket and smoke and mirrors pants, looks SO good. that suit would've be the same one that i would've chosen.
 
And personally I think they should go back to all 1 and 2 color jackets. I mean the 3 colors this year aren't bad, I just think the 2 color designs of 08/09 and 09/10 were sooo much sicker.
 
Hiked up my local mountain today. Had to take it off at first but once we reached halfway the winds were blowing hard. I stayed completly dry and warm on the way down with only a t-shirt and a longsleeve. Lobster and beaver are a good combo mhmm.
 
as do i. i think the year with the eggnog, scuba too, etc. has blown every other year away in terms of looks so far. That design was soo amazing...not to say that the others dont look great as well, because they do.

also, if anyone has a shitake or a black one from any year that they would be glad to sell me to go with my scuba pants it would be very appreciated :)
 
09/10 was the best by far IMO. such a sick design, such clean color combos, overall fantastic line and thats why i have my drank :)
 
i wore my new vest yesterday, with my pants from last year. having them on at the same time, it was super easy to compare, and the fabric from this year is 643534x better.
 
Haha I always forget that most people have to actually log on through a computer to check email. I've been spoiled by my Blackberry. Although, now whenever my phone vibrates I get excited hoping that it's Saga, only to be disappointed time after time.
 
well it held up to blowy cold weather today well, i was layered like none other because it was like 8 degrees, but it stopped the wind wel. one thing i have noticed, make sure you button that bottom zipper flap button, or the zipper starts to creep up.
 
Yeah i had the beaver fur pants with a lobster jacket and everyone was stoked on how nice the new saga was. One of my friends got first drop and he is kinda let down on how shitty the fabric still is.
