The 2010-11 Saga Thread

Well, I tried on last years over a year and a half ago, so it probably doesn't. They aren't that much shorter, but I think the length change they made it perfect. What I'm saying is that they just fit soooo nice this year. Wait till you get one on you.

you're welcome. you might want to measure that out though, just make sure it isnt too long. the zipper is 38.5 inches.
does anybody know what the hell "ghetto slits" are? (they are on the pants...)

i was thinking maybe they are the little zippers at the bottom of pants on the inside? so you can make them wider? i have no clue though...

sorry, i feel like i am overposting in this thread, but can somebody tell me how far up their face the zipper starts? because if it is the tip of your nose, i am going with XL, if it is your lips i am going with L

they arent low quality they are just 2L and 10K because its just a vest. They didnt put as much technical features in it as the jackets

true true. i guess i will just send saga another email asking how high the neck is. i hope i am not annoying them, but i am spending 500 fucking dollars...

I personally am going threw WWIII in my head about if i wanna get a FD jacket because of the vest option, or just get a saga vest. i really like having kinda 2in1 with the FD. Opinions?

or as waterproof as zippers are going to get. the downside to waterproof zippers is they are much stiffer than regular zippers, and more fragile than regular zippers, as they have a seal that can be broken when they are bent too far

Saga dissapointed me alot compared to how First Drop progressed since last year... like someone above said its the same colours with a different colour organization.. i personnally dont care about the 3L even if it is very important for many people that have to deal with wet snow or heavy powder.. but in quebec its just cold and never snows ( compared to colorado and utah) so i dont need a technical jacket so i think ill go witha first drop jacket this year

ok so same question to you guys as in the saga/first drop thread
okay id really like to get an opinion on this before i go spending 100 on saga's vest.
i just wanna know when is it really useful to wear a vest ?
you can wear a jacket for days when its snowing or just really cold, and then a sweater/hoodie for warmer days and spring skiing. what kind of days in between would it be nice to have a vest in your opinion?
thanks a lot. feel free to argue either way just give me good reasons please

^^i'm in the same boat as you. I'm thinking of wearing it over my sweatshirt on those medium days

im going to wear the vest with a hoodie or crew on mediumish days, warm days with wind, or just throw it over my jacket to change things up

alright so on the jackets with multiple colors (king cobra, bluesteal, etc) do the stripes on the front continue on the back? or is the back a solid color?

I did make it. And I only chose Trew because everyone seems to compare First Drop and Saga to Trew on NS. My goal was to try to give people a good comparison chart so they could make an educated decision based on the features that they wanted.

YES. fd's color combos this year and last year are f'ing fugly! Saga definitely for me this year.

anyone who gets the darkside jacket/lobster pants combo in Massachusetts is a dead man. maybe i'll pick up that smoke and mirrors vest too...

just wait for the xavier bertoni pro model by orage..... way better than fd and saga combined.... talll fitted too and not so wide

but again, can last alot longer and iis way more durable. orage is the way to go. and its not $450....

Alright well im going to school in montana next year and i want to know what would better fit for the weather out there. So Saga or FD? +k for any help given thanks!

both are just as waterproof, 20k. first drop has bib pants, which will probably be super helpful in deep snow, but saga has an interlocking powder skirt system that works pretty well. also, saga has 3 layer, making it more durable. i would give say that saga is more technical outerwear than FD, but they are both more than competent to do their job. so it really just comes down to which do you like more?
