Thank You PNS

I just wanted to say thanks to the PNS grooming staff if you're on here for letting Deception bump up. As I've said (and asked for) for the past 11 seasons, moguls are an integral part of any ski area and it's nice to see them making regular appearances at PNS. Thanks and keep it up!

You can thank the consistent cold temps for the bumps. I always try to get them to leave the bumps, but when it gets warm during the day and then cold at night, they just get too dangerous, being ice blocks. I don't think that the ones out there now are too icy, but i skied them when there was 3" of fresh on them.

No we actually have a machine that makes each bump. It attaches to a snowcat and we just drive up and down the runs and make bumps where we want them, but it has been broken for the past like 6 years, so that is why we haven't seen bumps at PNS. But it's all better now and we have bumps, yah!---Yes i'm joking and yes i have heard that rumor, and no we don't store them in the shed, but we have tried to make them before, not terribly successfully.

Not only has deception been amazing but, in general, that whole place is not something that people around here ever see from them. It's not the normal sheet of ice you see on a daily basis out there. I've been very impressed with perfect so far this year.

The sheer amount of snow we made during the week last week was pretty much out of control. Easily the most snow I've seen there in a long, long time.

Good on ya man. I'd love to see some of the new school get into moguls. I think PNS has some great pitches to allow moguls to form on and I've been very pleased with Deception since last Thursday's storm.

There's a ripping zipper line at the top followed by some pretty good fast left/right choices then back to a good zipper at the bottom...

I've been lapping that run just about every day since then, I'm in a green and white jacket, black Solly's. If anyone wants to ride together, just say hey and ask for change.

Oh, PS Billups, Tad, or FPman, or whoever it may concern: (sorry I've never introduced myself over the years)

If at all possible, let the bumps ride as long as possible during the upcoming thaw/freeze process please. I know they go to shit when they ice up overnight but some soft bumps are almost as nice as the soft snowy ones we've been blessed with this last week.

Here's to colder temps again!
