I am so glad Candide is still going strong and still dominating. It seems like every year skiers are starting to look more and more the same it kind of makes me disheartened. I got Lifted today and watched and lo and hehold there was Vinnie doing 3 and 5 safetys. Every skier is starting to look more and more the same with everyone doing 3 and 5 safety grabs. I loved Vinnies old tail grabs and Cussons japans but i now...its always safety grabs for fuck's sake! Thank god Candide is staying an individual and sticking with the grabs he likes and what, in my opinion, are sometimes way more stylie. Keep it up dude.

 
yeah, i dont think theres any way i could mistake that kid for anyone else, his style is so unique.

I appreciate what you're saying and Candide is fucking amazing but I don't really think pulling nothing but tail grabs is the best available example of 'original style.' I would argue that riders like Crighton etc. who throw their tricks with safeties and criticals and everything in between are the ones who have more unique styles. Candide's style is indeed unique but it's basically unique in that he goes freakishly huge and he royally tweaks out his tailgrabs, not that he really mixes it up.

Except i never said only tail grabs. I love it when skiers mix it up with criticals, tails, japans, stales, nose grabs, everything. Another guy is Jon and Mikeal, i love their styles. Doesnt anyone else get sick of seeing safety grabs all the goddamned time? Like i really enjoyed ibergs first film royalty because it was unique and personal but Stereotype was like a documentary on how to do tricks with SAFETY grabs.

 
He may just do tails, but he still is the smoothest, sickest, ballsiest skier around at the moment.

Anyone seen rastafaride 2002? He has a little snowboard segment, and still has his typical smooth style.

How long till he's back from his blown knee, anyone know?

 
it would be better to see more variety but the pros are so smooth and stylie already i dotn thik it really matters to them, like they dont erally care bout the grab so much anymore.

 
yeah in lifted, it almost looked like vinnie was trying to impersonate you know who with his gorilla 3s. they were nice, but i wouldnt expect that from dorion.

come on, dorion did like 2-3 jumps with a safety in lifted, and most of the footage he had was from the same jump in whstler so yea, maybe he felt like, i 'M gonna work on spins with safety grab today when they filmed.

bout candide, he fucking go big everywhere but it's do not look that good to see him pulling the same shit over and over but just going bigger all the time. ( not that i do not like him cause he's super sick)

there is a lot of ways of positioning your body in a safety and that's what make it different.

Andy's (mr mahre) safety do not look as Jon safety wich are not looking as mike nicks safetys

so you like to o safety, you can do your trick smoother with those, then do them your own way

anyone riding candide for doing only tail grabs doesn't notice that he grabs leading hand and trailing hand mute, tail, true tail(from what i have seen out of the movies this year) how about the guys who only grab safety and critical, and don't cross their skis? i ain't mad at them, nothing wrong at all, its their style...let it be, candide is dope

ya he is sure sick, i think he tottally invented that switch underflip thing (i could be wrong) but i haven't seen anyone else do it and he does tail a lot....i wouldn't mind a little more variety on that part. but he is so sick

Jon is my fav rider hands down...such a clean style, not all droopy down to the ground and he have every trick on the book dialed...works all the grabs. just a good clean skier
