Thall 09 vs Afterbang (durability)

So a friend of mine wants to buy his first ski's
He is in doubt between the Thall 09 and the Afterbang!He will prob be skiing 80% park. mosty rails.Is there anny reason to choose one above the other. I.E. durability, better performance ....
He is about 6,2 and 160/170

Id go with the afterbangs. Pretty much made for rails with the skateboard construction and all. and for first skis the price tag aint to bad either... Thats my choice.
 
have loved my afterbangs this year, skied on them for about 7 weeks and holding up pretty solidly so far..
 
Both are gonna be SUPER durable, Armada makes quality park skis and Line spent 4 years making sure the A-bangs are durable (plus, K2 - which owns LINE - always makes sure their stuff is durable). The afterbang will probably be the more fun ski and slightly better on rails cause it symmetrical (which the thall is not). I love Armada, but I've got a pair of Afterbangs coming my way so I'm gonna say Afterbang.
 
He's a boarder giving freestyle skiing a try. He's not a superb skier.The Hill we ski on is a indoor slope (maybe a week outdoor a year.)

 
Same here..Giving freestyle a feel this year. Im riding 09 k2 disorderlys and have held up amazingly so far so. and for indoor like before afterbangs in my mind but both skis are great from what ive heard. Wish I got a pair of my own
 
Well since he is 6'2 I think that afterbangs will be kinda short. I love my t-halls and they are a great rail ski.
 
Normally true, but since he's a beginner and going to be on dry slope and lots of rails I don't think it'll really be a problem, the thalls are only 4cm bigger at 181.
 
Its not a dry slope but indoor snowdome for the record.He now uses my chronics 181 and thinks those are okay. Ofc he hasnt skied manny skies, theRossi S1 & S2 as they are test skis but he didnt liked those much.
 
they might, but my 176 AR6s from 09 were exactly 176cm, so Line might be slightly shorter then.
 
yeah, both are banger, which is why a lot of people have a hard time deciding between the two.
